Not the case, there was only one directive on player selections.
Sheens has always preferred a faster, smaller pack and big, strong backs.
6. Douehi, 7. Brooks 13. Hastings and a young centre gives us speed but 4. Douehi 6. Brooks 7. Hastings gives us a slower half and backline.
And? Will have zero impacts on what position he plays next year.Assuming he plays for England in the world cup, as he seems to be hoping to do, will he play 7 or 13?
He will be in the halves for England, that's what a smart coach doesAssuming he plays for England in the world cup, as he seems to be hoping to do, will he play 7 or 13?

And for all the slagging he got he rarely let us down. Solid finisher.Really?
Daniel Fitzhenry made a career in our backline.
Just on Api, I read recently he was second on the list of most missed tackles by a No 9.Just questioning whether we need Hastings in that Lock/Distributor role with Api in the side. You would think there will be more go forward with Api's better service and his running from dummy half so a more orthodox half back role might be what is required. What we need is someone who can handle the secondary dummy half role similar to Dean Halatau, the dummy halves this year were too slow and very unimaginative.
Lock is as important as halves these daysHe will be in the halves for England, that's what a smart coach does
Lock is as important as halves these days
Look at the difference Murray for Souffs or Yeo makes for Penrith
My point still stands, I think a quality lock can be just as important as a quality halfback in the modern gameThat is because of their quality as a player and there are mot many around with that quality.Taumolo the obvious exception

That surprised me coz I thought his defence was a solid part of his game !
Hope he improves that stat next season.
And no, I don’t know who was above him.
And I heard his BBQs were better than Vaughan's ....... 😉Missed tackles is an overrated stat. Maloney missed the most tackles almost every year he played NRL, yet he won everywhere he went.
