He couldn't be a replacement for Madden. Madden is a halfback. An organising player. How good he is may be up for question but Asi is a utlilty back, but most definitely not a halfback. He's mostly a fullback/centre and a bit of 5/8 too.

If Brooks is going to be our 7 we need an understudy who is an organiser, someone who can kick us out of trouble. Asi could be a backup for Doueihi/Laurie

Tigers tried to sign him this season, or at least made him an offer.

Nailed it. I heard either from Lee or WTP that the club were suprised with the angle fox went when editing.

There was apparently PR content on the board and club that never made the cut.

24/ Spine will be interesting with Muney, Brooks, Moses and Api.

Are we then hoping our young forward pack will be enough to get over the line?
Is this why Laurie is being trained as a backup half?
I wonder how Brooks feels about being demoted to 5/8 again, again. And even Marshall whom suggested after the parramatta game that Brooks should move back to Halfback hmmm.
Could Sheens do a Val Holmes on Adam Doueihi and convince him that he will become a rep quality centre if allows himself to believe that he can be more involved in a game if he is playing a position other than 5/8.

Live the dream ….. but when reality bites I think we might be happy if we just jag one of those.

Kinda think fir next year at best we’ll end up with players like Brown, Fifita, Doorey and couple of players from either NZ rugby or ESL.

He is a star in the making and already played SOO and we all know the dogs cap must be close to been filled.. Even if it only makes Dogs increase offer that would be a win as them getting him for 800k is a bargain IMO. Give Gus some of his own medicine

Don't be. He's been a broke-down shell of himself since he returned from Canberra. That shoulder surgery did him in. Maybe the same surgeon who ruined Sammy's shoulder. The guy you should be looking at is Jack Welsby. This kid is something special. 6'2/6'3 - plays fullback but with the ferocity of a backrow forward. Quick. Explosive. Ferocious competitor. Best of all - off-the-charts rugby IQ. Scores. Huge number of assists. 20 - 21 years old? Generational talent. He's definitely going to the NRL and the club that gets him will be lucky to have him.
