Would love to share your optimism, and by nature I generally have an optimistic lean, but on this occasion I need more evidence. Our history shows, coaches get put under pressure and as a result on field performance drops, resulting in the coach moving on.Sheens has a history of making some astute purchases when he has cash, I still have faith.
We are holding firm on Papa & based on media rubbish we are talking to the right players.
The leaders have to back the people trying to enforce change- who ever that may be - or it will never filter through to players. We seem to be in a never ending holding pattern. Clean out from the top down needed to break the cycle of failure.Yep, this is the fundamental difference between our club and players vs the others. Any time our pack of pussies have been asked to actually earn their contracts, they piss and moan to the media.
The sad truth is that the majority of our players are bunch of entitled lazy plodders and the people who constantly make excuses for them are enabling idiots. Unfortunately, I don’t think things will truly change until we either clear out the club at a board level or sign a top tier star player.
Further evidence that the club struggles to identify problems and solutions. Now I wonder what other agenda could possibly be more important? And to think he offerd himself to us and we turned him down so he went elsewhere
Here we go chasing headlines about signing big name players from other clubs with big desperate spend anything bids. This will end well.
If we haven't yet learnt: shut up about recruitment, focus on the team and stop windbagging on radio about a new approach until you've actually done something on the field.
How can our club bosses be so bad at basic media management? We look desperate and I'm sure it would do nothing good for either team morale and fan optimism when our big money, big publicity bids inevitably backfire on us.
Sheens and Benji appear to be making more of the same missteps with no authority or guidance given from our incompetent club management. I hate to be negative and love the tigers, but everyone on here can see the stupidity of this approach, why can't our administrators?
Like for like IQ personal statement. Huh?Unfortunately we don’t have the IQ to land a player like Jack Welsby 😂 I understand he is contracted through to 24 at St Helens? His current coach has signed with the new club, Brisbane Dolphins.
Just reading the Wests Tigers news post and headline Moses/Brooks reunion.
If that happened then assume Brooks to 5/8 and AD definitely centre or full back or Melbourne.
I was hoping for Moses , Brown or Munster . But that would mean a lot of players would have to take a pay cut !
Dylan BrownI think Sheen / Benji have a plan and all this talk is talk to keep reporters off our tail. Everyone is looking over here and then BAM we sign a player from over there.
We are letting players go everywhere and we need players in return so there is a plan IMO but wont be announced to fans until signed and sealed..
Yep, we meaning all of us. Including you.😂Like for like IQ personal statement. Huh?
Benji made a point about keeping things inhouseI think Sheen / Benji have a plan and all this talk is talk to keep reporters off our tail. Everyone is looking over here and then BAM we sign a player from over there.

Tapau and Gavet ploddish, yeah rightThe forwards you’ve named as his pack are quite ploddish . When has he had a good pack?
Hardly says it all. They have probably the games best forward injury free after a couple of injury effected years. Theyve brought through 3 of the best young forwards in the game, one of which is a generational talent, in Nanai, Gilbert and Neame. A 4th in Cotter has always shown glimpses of his ability but struggled to remain healthy before this year and is now more suited to the game than ever. With the young talent coming through the likes of MacLean and Hess are able to thrive given they have others to share the work load. This says it all (below) for how the Cowboys turned things around. Its about the players putting in hard work. When ever there is talk about hard work at our club their are rumours of a players revolt. Players will only improve performance if they are called out and believe it's their responsibility to work harder. Any player can improve their fitness and tackle technique - but they as individuals have to do the extra work. Our blokes have been cruising in - and out - of this club for years and it shows in our performances.
“We did a lot of contact, we did a lot of tackling and we just made them do things that they didn’t want to do, day after day. At the moment, it’s showing that it worked,” he said.
“So, we needed to toughen our guys up mentally and physically. We challenged them day after day. We threw curve balls at them at different stages."
“We got them in really early most mornings. To beat the heat and make them a little bit uncomfortable about time management; getting out of bed and preparing for training."
In defence of the Tigers, Sheens only stated that we were interested in Munster (so is everyone). Tigers haven't said anything officially about Moses - that was leaked.Unfortunately u can't just sit in silence. The media plays a big part in footy these days.
Yes, he is contracted. But with the money NRL clubs have at their disposal I think pretty much anyone is available. We just can’t compete. I’d rather not see him leave but he’s waaaaay too good for our competition and I’d enjoy seeing him tearing it up at WT before the dreaded Storm or the Bunnies or the Dogs. As an aside, his scrum half partner, Lewis Dodd, is another kid age 20/21 who is the best talent I’ve seen in that position in a long, long time. He picked up a nasty injury mid-season but his rehab is going fine and I KNOW he has his sights firmly set on the NRL. He came over with St. Helens academy to Australia a couple of years ago and was the easily the best player on the pitch when they faced off against Penrith’s juniors - many of whom are now in the first team squad. Neither would be for next season. But definitely worth setting up early dialogue because that’s how the Bunnies got Burgess and the Bulldogs got Graham.Unfortunately we don’t have the IQ to land a player like Jack Welsby 😂 I understand he is contracted through to 24 at St Helens? They were pretty heavily overrated by us …Tapau and Gavet ploddish, yeah right
Gavet - journeyman who played 12 games for us 😂Tapau and Gavet ploddish, yeah right

Finally they recruited a very good centre in Hiku to sure up one edge and have a star back in Holmes doing a job the job on the other.
No doubt hard work played a vital role, but the talent of their roster can not be ignored.

Talent will get you so far in the NRL but only hard work will give you impetus to compete at a level to succeed.
The strength of any forward pack is built on the back of fitness and a will to win, and that can only come about through hard work and attitude. If the players don't have the desire or will to put in the hard work then they will not get results. So it that sense it does say it all.
Went to England and came home to the Warriors last year I believe. They were pretty heavily overrated by us …
There’s a reason why Gavet has played for about 50 different clubs in his career, and well Taupau peaked about 5 years ago but was very inconsistent
One forward I wish we kept, can’t remember what happened exactly was Ben Murdoch Masila … huge lump of a lad
