Penrith play an expansive style using their classy outside backs to gain yardage which frees up their awesome forward pack to absolutely tear the hinges off in defense. Whichever way you play you need an intimidating forward pack. Rugby league is not for fairies. If we played differently we could have negated a fair bit of that, we were just dump and one out rucking the ball asking no questions, that's great with a big pack that can punch holes in the line.
What we needed to do because of our smaller forwards was base our game on 2nd, 3rd, 4th phase play. Keep the opposition forwards moving while we slowly eat metres by promoting the ball to the next guy. This will take a fair bit of juice out of the opposition's pack making our life in defence a hell of a lot easier.
With a similar wage and skill set to our much maligned half back. The issue with Hunt is that you're paying for diminishing returns. No doubt he's a great player, but you'd be paying big money for a guy on the wrong side of 30.

The 350 doesn’t go against the cap. We need second rowers and he is a quality one at his best. The old bean counter will probably pick up another peachey instead.Bateman's form is very unimpressive and he would not be cheap, when you add a 350k transfer fee on that you are talking around about 1 million for him. That would be the biggest waste of money in the history of the NRL imho.Hopefully the club told them no in the most emphatic way possible
First graders not blokes who just went through puberty who might play origin in 10 yearsThere is an article listing the Top U15s in Australia and many of them are WTs' players including the Onitonio Large 5/8, Ashton Large hooker, Alex Isdale half, Ali Karnib 5/8, Peter Taai second row, Heamasi Makasini centre, There is also a host of other young players - Conti, Kanaan, Lowandos in the juniors. A poster the other day advised the two St Josephs College wingers Malloy and Minto are also WTs.
I'm sure our scouts are out there trying to sign players like Faagutu from Brisbane who from all accounts is an X factor player. I'm not sure what more you want?

With our negotiating skills the side would be worth approx 400 million dollars. Pascoe would probably also need to offer them all ambassador roles. How about just trading there top 30 for our top 30 give Robbo a real challenge
We don’t have a jahrome Hughes playing the position when we let a superstar go. We get stuck with an overweight ex-Warrior.And according to a handful on here and the whole media it is only us that let these type players go.
His skill set is eons ahead of BrooksWith a similar wage and skill set to our much maligned half back.
Were Dragons fans saying that in 2021?His skill set is eons ahead of Brooks
Nah, we should sign whomever is willing to join us. Beggars can't be choosers.we can do better than Hammer ar fullback... be patient
Either way, hopeful both parties could manage to possibly get a deal done.Tamou can’t be a player swap as he is a free agent.
No doubt, we just havnt really had an intimidating forward pack for a decade.Penrith play an expansive style using their classy outside backs to gain yardage which frees up their awesome forward pack to absolutely tear the hinges off in defense. If you run an eye over the top 4-6 teams it’s very clear that’s where we are lacking. Deardon just took a team to a prelim final. Forwards win you games in our sport which is actually a surprise to some. Did Joey or Alfy ever play behind bad forwards? No doubt, we just havnt really had an intimidating forward pack for a decade.
We have a decent crop of young forwards, just need more guidance and experience
We need an alpha male like a JWH to instil some fire in them. I’ve seen more mongrel in local A grade teams. No doubt, we just havnt really had an intimidating forward pack for a decade.

No other club is interested in Staines yet our forum is putting him in starting teams for 2023.2023 probably look like
1. Staines
3. Douhie
6. Laurie
7. Brooks
9. Api
13. Hastings
IF we did sign Munster perhaps we can look at releasing Douhie a year early so he can sign with Storm, never know
Technically in this case they can’t have him sign a contract before Nov 2024can make an offer. Can’t sign a contract earlier that 1 nov the year ahead.
I want them to discover a couple of stars eg a Nanai ,Sualii like Nicco was discovered .There is an article listing the Top U15s in Australia and many of them are WTs' players including the Onitonio Large 5/8, Ashton Large hooker, Alex Isdale half, Ali Karnib 5/8, Peter Taai second row, Heamasi Makasini centre, There is also a host of other young players - Conti, Kanaan, Lowandos in the juniors. Every player has to start somewhere including Munster, Moses and co. While having talent is very important, it is also the training, structures, environment and type of football played by teams through the grades imo that to a large extent determines the success or otherwise of players. The Panthers are a great example. It seems our club has and is working hard in these areas.First graders not blokes who just went through puberty who might play origin in 10 years
The Large brothers are outstanding prospects who play in important positions. Many of these youngsters are Campbelltown juniors in addition the Wests HM team. I read the Roosters were chasing the Large brothers.I want them to discover a couple of stars eg a Nanai ,Sualii like Nicco was discovered .
