But there's 17 teams - And not 17 players that fill your requirements..
Out of the ones that are - Most are under contract outside next year

I'd be giving Laurie as much ball as he wants. You want your best players touching the ball as much as possible. Whether that's at 1 or 6 is irrelevant. Listen how Billy Slater talks about Laurie to understand how good he is and will become.

Good question which Sheens will have to decide. In strong teams, weak defenders can be hidden. In our team, I'm not sure.

At this point I just want Brooks gone and Knignts are the only team interested at this stage. If Moses did leave Parra to us I could see them becoming another team wanting Brooks. But there’s another half name Jonah Pezet at Storm stuck behind Hughes he’s one I will give a chance too from what I hear he’s real good. Maybe Blake Taffe as well or this one is unlikely but Sam Walker is available for 24 I would try and sign him so there’s at least 4 I would be willing to give a chance too we all know what will happen if Brooks stays regardless if he takes a massive pay cut it ain’t worth it.

I don’t see it from Laurie yet. He’s a long way off from being one of the best players in the game. If he doesn’t improve next year I got no issue with letting him go.
 
Anyway looks like we missed Bronson Xerri he is off to the Doggies by all reports from the guy I know at the Dog's and he looks like he has hit 🎯 so much Apple Juice or another flavour because he is absolutely massive

So Brooks is good enough for better teams than our - But not for you...

How is Pezet stuck behind Hughes? Wasn't Munster leaving a few posts back...
He's straight in for Munster - They've also just released Cooper Johns, (The recognised back up half) So fair chance Pezet is going no where.

Moses - Don't disagree, But getting him back is fantasy atm.... As is Walker.
If Taafe was a better 7 than Brooks, He'd be playing 7 somewhere already...

So - Outside your fantasies, And players not as good as Brooks (Like Taafe)
And your admission that you don't care if we don't have a halfback - Because you just want the one that we have at the moment gone....

I'll ask again, Who you getting?
Maybe we can get Chee Kam back and play him at 7...
It's obvious your point is personal and you don't care if we have an actual half playing there or not.

Pezet is more of a 7 than 6 IMO he and Moses would be the next best 2 Halfbacks available to sign for 24 Walker would be 3rd. Storm will 100% try for Brown if Munster leaves so Pezet just doesn’t slot in unless Brown decides to stay with Parra or go elsewhere. Brooks isn’t a 7 no 7 could fail like Brooks has. He’s probably closer to a 6 but even that’s rare with him. If we land Moses, Pezet or Walker we get rid of Brooks if we can’t have to consider other options. If Brooks stays on after next year doesn’t matter who we sign Brooks won’t lead us to anything. If he can’t do it after 9 years why would next year be any different?

We all want better players - Fair to say we could improve on every player 1-17 no?
Unfortunately, It's not like going down to KMart to by Beans...

They have to.....
1 - Exist
2 - Be available
3 - Want to come
4 - We need money for them
I could go on,

17 Teams in the comp....
I'm all for getting a better one, But we came 16/16 last out
- And there aren't 15 better 7's in the comp... Not yet anyhow

Sure him missing 5-6 tackles a game makes him a good defender 😂😂. As bad as Doueihi’s defence was even he didn’t get that high on a regular basis.

I would be stoked if we got both. Klemmer is a consistently high performer, and brings mongrel to the pack as well as experience to help out the young guys. Leinu has that x-factor as you said, and is showing all the signs he will be a great footballer as well. Both of them, along with Api and Papa is the foundation of a top 8 pack. Let's make it happen!

If he’s having worse numbers than Doueihi than he’s still defending worse than he is. Brooks isn’t a good defender as much as people think he is. Only thing Brooks is decent at is running in open space everything else from him is just trash.

I disagree Stains is taller and much quicker and has a bit more ball playing to his game than he has shown when playing on the wing.
Laurie is a really solid defender for his size and is a real competitior, haven’t seen his kicking game other than a couple of dinks in goal but he does place them better then our other 3 halve options.

Exactly - And Hughes is more a 6 than 7... Only playing 7 at Storm because of a dominant 6 and a 1 on fire....

Trying for Brown, And Brown wanting to leave his family and friends in Sydney are 2 different things... Especially for a kid who said he wants to stay at Parra and Money won't bother him so much (2 days ago)

Opinion only, Put Brooks in a top 8 team - They're still a top 8 team....
Key word here is team.
Put Brooks in a bottom 4 team, They're still a bottom 4 team....
Same as if you put Moses, Reynolds or DCE in a bottom 4 team.

Manly has the Australian, Origin Winning halfback - Won 5 more games than us....
In a team full of rep players.
How many players we got in the world cup this year - 3 is it?
And how many of them are tier 1 players....

Again, Buy me a better halfback - And I'll be all for it....
But take you Blake Taafe back to Kmart to help with the Beans
