Yeah, Seibs is an interesting choice. If Des has to go, he’d be a good choice to clean things up at Mt Druitt on the sea.

If Des becomes available, he will have any number of club suitors. You’d think SGI would be texting him expressing an interest. He’d fit in well there.

Hook is finished there if you believe the media.

Manly blaming Des for their woes is a bit of a stretch. Their playing group are a bit of a precious entitled lot.

There’s a group of Manly players who think it’s all Ok to stab people in a church.

That’s as [This word has been automatically removed]ed up as it gets.

And sacking Des over it makes even us look quite normal, composed and wholly well adjusted!

As hopeless as we are, Lees not giving a leg up to a would be murderer or whatever over the church fence. Might defend him, but that’s different.

I have it on the good mate authority that this event cruelled them as much as rainbow gate.

Totally divided them.

Even Des can’t fix stupidity in that degree.

so whois the new coach at Newcastle next year,Des may have a job at Gold Coast-its not about the pay out its about the lifestyle.ask Herman

And let’s say Sheensy somehow jags us a spot in in the glittering finals next year, with our ugly and forlorn lot, I bet they’ll be any number of clubs vying for his signature.

And if he gets the bug and stars align, he may end up at Redcliffe after Wayne resigns for family reasons ( aka spooning).

Hand the keys of the Porsche over to GTA early.

It may not be PC but it is 100% accurate and and Britain and France did it and the Czechs could not even speak a word against it as they were only given "observer" status

I can’t keep up with the changes either!

Even with the instant communications of the forum these days, I’d be surprised if anything anyone posted wasnt out of date before we hit “post reply”

But we shouldn’t lose any sleep over it, what’s done is done.

I’m surprised we needed another review so soon.

Perhaps it was a review of a half year review, reviewing the previous pre season review of the end of last season review!

At times we seem like we more into reviews than actually getting anything done in the first place.

And in our case, the more we review, the less productive they become and on that basis, we might want to ditch the reviews.

While I can’t commend Tim for anything he’s done since he got back ( except refrain from suing us), I would be disappointed if he’s only to have one season, because I rate him as a much better coach than GTA is or ever will be.

Even if it’s just finding his way to the mouth guard trolley, he’s had the experience with the bonus, he’s inclined to keep his kit on.

Yes I agree, hopefully the whole debate centres around the footy and winning, just very different ideas on how that will be achieved.

I wouldn’t have sacked Madge at that moment, but if that was that and we missed Cicada ( the entitled precious tool who wasted our time), I would have appointed a caretaker and simply chilled to see how the coaching market played out.

And realistically, we would have had a fair chance with at least say any of bottom 4 coaches and Arthur was being shopped around, now Des is in play. Maybe Seibs and other former coaches, maybe the late Paul Green. Not the worst coach on the block and I say that honestly. If he was the best of candidates, I’d have given him a go.

And Tim has to start with mostly Madge’s and Hartos crew, so we can’t expect the earth.

Accepting his appointment, we will find out what he can do. Then a problem if he succeeds as I foreshadowed- as he’s headed off.

That will be a good problem to have!

Start work 10am finish 9pm.

People winced and poked me in the back about my footy coaching affection for Seibs for some time, but Manly’s interest has rescued me.

Not the best commender, but I’ll take it!

He was treated very poorly at Brisbane. They owe him.
