Bulldogs are paying for Naden next year, and for a few years Panthers paid RCG and Blake to pay for Parra. Given the way they played in the GF maybe Panthers are still paying them.

If we pay Saints 100k for 2 years to take Musgrove and we get Klemmer or Lenui for 500k, I think that's still a win for us.

Never been a fan of sending a player to another team and paying most of their contract if that’s true, we are one of the few teams dumb enough to do it though.

Don’t be too discouraged.
Penrith has spent the past 3 years helping out parramatta and it’s done more good than harm to them.
It’s all about balance of your roster.
Even if Musgrove was on min wage but was occupying position 30 it would be a waste of a roster spot. Sure Penrith could of kept RCG and Waqa Blake in their top 30 but if they didn’t see their value in the top 17 they were just taking up money.

We’ve tried putting together a roster of hand me downs in previous seasons, like the Dragons have done since Hook became coach, hasn’t done much good for them or for us in the past.

So Klemmer was seen touring the COE which suggests he is close to signing but where has the Spencer Lenui talk come from? Just that he's off contract and looking to make bank? I hope he ends up here but would like to separate the likelys from the pure guesses...

We've got / had bigger issues "Wasted Roster Spots" Thank Musgrove in the last 12 Months...
He'd be well behind a few that I'd be moving on - Especially considering the forwards that he'd be leaving behind - And the zero forwards that we seem to be replacing him with.

Still haven't replaced Tamou, Mikaele & Kelma....
And that's not even considering our forwards were puss last year.

Musgrove was a starting prop for us in 17 out of 25 games last year.
I just bring it up cause you mentioned our forwards were puss last year.

Tigerballs has mentioned it twice. I believe he gets his info from a player manager. To be clear, Tigerballs hasn’t said we have got Leniu for sure, just that we are looking good. 🤞

Don't forget our track record for people coming thru to look at the COE isn't 100% effective....CC comes to mind.

That has to be worth at least another 30 pages

We were dumb enough to sign Musgrove to a 5yr deal before he played 35 games of NRL.
His contract isn't gigantic & if he is released + signed with Dragons we can pay that off in 23 cap as well which we have heaps of cap space to move.

It will be more about freeing up a roster spot for another prop as well which is exciting with the Klemmer/Lenui talk.

Yeah - I remember what I said....
I'm not a mathematician, But I don't see how losing / Moving a heap of forwards that were dominated last year is countered by moving on one of the last remaining few that we have.

If we sign some quality for 2023, Then go sell whoever.....
We can't just keep selling and buying nothing or no ones' though....

- How on gods green earth is he going to be more handy to us next year than the likes of Musgrove?
Start him for 17/25 games next year - See how he fairs...
He'll get swallowed.
