Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

His defence is okay sometimes, woeful others. He can tackle but is almost always caught out of position when we are defending our goal line. Fair dinkum, we concede so many tries off grubbers all because he can't read the play in time.
Twal always high tackle count but he sure burns a lot of 5th tackles chasing that elusive try . Maybe coach a bit of a sidestep and an offload will help but he's a keeper

So, no real confidence in any signings. Pencil us in for the Spoon again.

My expectations are no signings or a dud signing like Bateman. I'm more concerned about signing duds than not signing anyone.

It's clear we are completely dependent on juniors coming through to improve and the occasional good buy. We have Api and IP coming into the team next year. They are great signings.

We just have to pray the juniors come good and Sheens gets the attack working.

I have no inside info but WTs are well placed to acquire Klemmer. Cash talks and we have it. A couple of tough UK forwards like Bateman and Smithies would be good signings. We know the UK produces good and tough forwards.

they essentially did the post nov 1 dance early.

Plus Munster didn't go for every last possible cent. If he really wanted to get into a bidding war he could have. He has taken less but not too much.

We have too many guys who state I want the maximum possible contract offer. Clubs sometimes do dumb stuff in these situations like the David Fifita contract or the Nofo contract.

Hastings is about leadership and the hunger and drive to win.

Good culture is about accepting less $ to stay with your club as Munster did with the Storm and as Chris Lawrence did with WTs and likely Luke Brooks will do with WTs. I have no time for players leveraging our club for more $ when Doueihi I'm sure is on a healthy contract and Hastings will no doubt be offered a good contract from our club.

Sadly, "he cannot step, cannot break tackles, cannot offload, his hitups have amoeba's power, and come after a snail speed run"!"

Probably of more concern than anything else, Alex finished the season on the sideline because of concussion issues. That is the main concern for me, as even one seemingly innocuous knock could put him in the stands again, possibly permanently.

They're coaches.... Not miracle workers.
"Coach" a sidestep? What planet are you on?

He's a forward that doesn't do - hasn't learned - obviously doesn't watch footy (Cause he doesn't see how the good ones do it) to run on the front of his foot....
- KIDS LEARN THIS!!

If he doesn't care enough to compare himself to his peers - There is no hope for him....
- How do I know he's not looking to improve his game, Because it's not improving.

Being a good bloke that tries hard isn't going to win us a comp with this squad.
Roosters or Storm can hide a player like that... If he's starting - We're shot.
In our team, He should be 18-19th man...

You can't coach ability.

This is such an ignorant assumption. You can be working on your game but not be able to implement that on game day due to ability.

Twal is a tough one to judge. So are a lot of our players. If they were in a top team would they perform ?

Defensively he is great but 1/2 a props job is to belt it up and get the defense moving back and he does that poorly. Musgrove is sort of his opposite.
