Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

SHHHHHH..

A big named player was found property shopping in the steel city after breaking contract news to board members? Will this player soon be a new Novumcastrum?

well.. news travels quick to the mole.

Sounds like Brooks has made his mind up and wants to leave given he provided notice with Sheens away. We better go hard in the player market for at least 24 because right now we don't really have much left in the tank at the club. Brooks is better than the Kelly alternative.

If Sheens wants Hastings at lock like POM said it will be interesting if this either sees a clear shift of Hastings to Halfback or if we see a Laurie and AD lineup in the halves with Staines at fullback (if the Peach/Staines activity happens). Outside of that we really don't have many options aside from maybe chasing Nathan Brown who can ball play somewhat as our depth in the halves is terrible.

Sounds like we are in a hedging our bets waiting game across the market atm.

I'm putting 1 and 1 together and getting 5 here. So @THE_POM mentions there is a chance that Ken Maumalo may play elsewhere and today a story breaks that Dom Young is being courted by 5 Sydney clubs.

Yes please, speed, speed, speed & raw ability although still a lot to learn.
I'd love to have Dom Young here. He's only young, big future I think. He's about ten feet tall as well which helps.

If Brooks goes we are one Hastings injury from next year being a total write off (even more than it already is). There is a total dearth of half-backs in the comp, why on earth would we let him go from a squad health point of view? Can't imagine having a team with no half-back would help with recruitment.
Could be the reason why Albert Kelly is being talked to for a T&T contract.

Kade Hill not physically ready, Mikey Tannous seen more as a hooker but can play half and more physically ready.

I'm still on the Jake Clifford on a smaller deal for 2 years bandwagon as a project for Sheens & particularly Benji.
