And Woods as well.
I actually thought we might have been going forward but everything seems to be turning negative again.

About the same as the other Halves - Madden was maybe a 4.

To be fair, I know he is mentioned as playing lazy and not getting involved but for us a back rower that makes tackles and avg but on his day is the biggest strike weapon in the comp is probably the best signing we could ever make.
Even if his salary was closer to the 1 mil mark then 500k.

He's had years of proving that if it's all on him - It just won't happen.
He's not the player he was considered to be (Losing his origin spot confirms that)

We would be banking on him, And he's not the guy you can bank on...
He'll need to go to the Roosters or a team that can do it without him.
We're not that team - Any money spent on him would be wasted.

if Hastings goes in 2024 and he is not seen as a 7 but a 13, Sheens is probably thinking we can get a good 13 in the market

Have to wait and see but given he’s asking again as he did last year to be released its clear he no longer wants to be here. Sheens is probably meeting some halfbacks in England, but I reckon there’s a strong chance Brooks will be gone before next season starts.

Players sign a year out look at Rheed Mahoney, Foran, Papali,
Parramatta and Manly didn't release them early
Sheens is not an idiot if he doesn't have a replacement he feels is adequate for the 7 then he probably doesn't release Brooks for 2023
Without Brooks newcaste have no 7
The klemmer deal has nothing to do with Brooks being released in 2023
