Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Cant go off the site...

Change to the NSW cup side and you see James Roberts, Peachy and Gildart.

Would best to wait until the new year or when they bring out the new jersey and will find the Roster on the site should be updated

NSW cup sites / stats are run externally of the Club / NRL.
It may seem like part of our site, And while it is - We don't have any control over that part.
They're poorly updated - Always have been.

The main page would be there or there abouts at the time of updating...
The NSW cup stuff will happen if and when the people that run it get to it.

Does anyone know if Hastings will be resigned? Should be the first player signed for 2023 given his effort in 2022.
seems as if he’s going to see what’s out there for 2024 and beyond. wouldn’t be surprised if he’s offered the chance to play 7 elsewhere he’ll take it. don’t think he’s going to get it here, Sheens seems pretty set on him playing 13.

Hastings thinks like a 7, but a team can have 2 or more players who think that way, surely? The evolution of Rugby League should have a stronger focus on teamwork rather than position specs.
100% if you’ve watched the storm over the last couple of seasons, Bellamy has played with multiple halves (or ball players) - Hughes (who doesn’t always play a traditional 7 role), Munster, Hynes, Paps, Smith, Grant - all playing as first or second receivers and attacking all over the park. Traditional numbers and positions are a thing of the past.
When we lost Brooks and then Hastings towards the end of the season we looked much worse in attack - the better sides have more options that can keep the opposing defense wondering. Many don’t want to hear it, but Hastings was better when Brooks was on the field.

Yes that's why I think Sheenius will play Hastings 7 in attack with two 5/8 in Brooks and AD...... Daine will chime in Sheenius loves using the fullback so we could have three 5/8s in attack and API playing eyes up just need a few fast wings who can score a try

It was mentioned in an article earlier this week that currently, positions 1-26 in the NRL top 30 have a minimum salary of $120,000 ($112,000 with COVID pay-cut) while positions 27-30 have a minimum wage of $80,000. Something to remember when clubs are filling out a whole top 30.
Not correct there is no salary cap set yet. CBA not agreed.

Take these games with a grain of salt. The most targeted players are the 7 and 6 in the NRL. You have to be quick and clever. You can be a star in these games, and bog average when the blowtorch is applied by the top sides.
spot on. Roosters showed that when they specifically targeted AD and he let in 5 or 6 tries. thats simply not good enough
