Whhhaat they broke up the twins?Raiders have signed a young Penrith lock to an ongoing training deal.
Apparently he was man of the match in their Jersey Fleg grand final win.
Named Hohepa Puru.

seems as if he’s going to see what’s out there for 2024 and beyond. wouldn’t be surprised if he’s offered the chance to play 7 elsewhere he’ll take it. don’t think he’s going to get it here, Sheens seems pretty set on him playing 13.Does anyone know if Hastings will be resigned? Should be the first player signed for 2023 given his effort in 2022.
Hard to tell, if we get mosses I can’t see him and Hastings being in the same team without a clash of egos.Does anyone know if Hastings will be resigned? Should be the first player signed for 2023 given his effort in 2022.
Haha no way would they work together. ,😂😂Hard to tell, if we get mosses I can’t see him and Hastings being in the same team without a clash of egos.
Hastings is a better 7 than 13 and a better 7 than Brooks this is my concern with Sheens selections / positions
Hastings thinks like a 7, but a team can have 2 or more players who think that way, surely? The evolution of Rugby League should have a stronger focus on teamwork rather than position specs.Hastings is a better 7 than 13 and a better 7 than Brooks this is my concern with Sheens selections / positions
Yeah he went to far taking over the team. Yes the team needed direction but defences worked it out pretty quick. He wasn't great at 7 when team's figured him out due to the amount of times he'd touch the ball and we didn't score any points.
100% if you’ve watched the storm over the last couple of seasons, Bellamy has played with multiple halves (or ball players) - Hughes (who doesn’t always play a traditional 7 role), Munster, Hynes, Paps, Smith, Grant - all playing as first or second receivers and attacking all over the park. Traditional numbers and positions are a thing of the past.Hastings thinks like a 7, but a team can have 2 or more players who think that way, surely? Yes that's why I think Sheenius will play Hastings 7 in attack with two 5/8 in Brooks and AD...... Daine will chime in Sheenius loves using the fullback so we could have three 5/8s in attack and API playing eyes up just need a few fast wings who can score a try100% if you’ve watched the storm over the last couple of seasons, Bellamy has played with multiple halves (or ball players) - Hughes (who doesn’t always play a traditional 7 role), Munster, Hynes, Paps, Smith, Grant - all playing as first or second receivers and attacking all over the park. When we lost Brooks and then Hastings towards the end of the season we looked much worse in attack - the better sides have more options that can keep the opposing defense wondering. Many don’t want to hear it, but Hastings was better when Brooks was on the field.
Next 7-10 days will be interesting…….Well the Nov 1 didn’t live up to the hype. Even a bloody rumour would’ve been nice.
Not correct there is no salary cap set yet. CBA not agreed. It was mentioned in an article earlier this week that currently, positions 1-26 in the NRL top 30 have a minimum salary of $120,000 ($112,000 with COVID pay-cut) while positions 27-30 have a minimum wage of $80,000. Something to remember when clubs are filling out a whole top 30.
spot on. Roosters showed that when they specifically targeted AD and he let in 5 or 6 tries. thats simply not good enoughTake these games with a grain of salt. The most targeted players are the 7 and 6 in the NRL. You have to be quick and clever. You can be a star in these games, and bog average when the blowtorch is applied by the top sides.
No sorry. Wouldn’t surprise me if we copped either the bye or dolphins round 1 but. We will probably get the bye and Dolphins will probably get another soft ball with the Titans or something.Does anyone know when the draw for next season comes out
Initially with Hastings at 13, Brooks 7 and Doueihi 6, it gave us an extra number in the backline, it pushed Doueihi wider giving him more time and space.
