Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't know why any player with half a brain pays a manager to negotiate a deal on their behalf. I predict more will wake up soon and look after their own finances especially if they can add up and put a sentence together.
Mate I was hoping someone would eventually say this because the player knows what he wants. The upside to a manager is knowing where their player can go and how much to ask.
I wonder how it would go if there was a player gazette and players simply applied for the job.
There could be a base salary and term advertised and the final salary could be determined in the interview.
Na...too many flaws, time for my nap.

WT are in the final stages of securing John Bateman on a three year deal. They’ll pay a $250k transfer fee, outside of the salary cap, as Bateman has two years left to run on his Wigan deal.

Once Bateman deal is all confirmed, Papali’i will revert back to the left edge, where he spent most of his Dally M backrower of the year season in '21.

Likely Papali’i, Koroisau, Bateman, Blore, Utoikamanu, Twal and possibly one of Klemmer/Frizell added to the forward pack that played throughout 2022. Very, very different style.

Believe Frizell is on 700-800k for 2023 and turning 32 and limited with being able to train. Would love Klemmer and Bateman unless Frizell can be heavily subsidised. Believe he has a close relationship with Benji from their time at the Dragons though.

This would be like a great early Christmas present to sign Klemmer and Bateman and the icing on the cake Brooks leaving.

Remember it is the duds we reject or move on that makes WT a better club.

Papalii

Koroisua

Staines

Klemmer

Bateman

You have to say Blore and Utoikamanu feel like new signings given they missed a lot or most of 2022 season.

A big offseason and our pack looks much better for 2023.

With these signings and Pole developing could Twal miss out in the top 17? Good honest player but needs to break the line and gain a passing game. It is 2022 dude.

I think if dolphins were not in next year Newcastle would run last, they may have a better tram 2024 but 2023 geez they are in trouble

Not looking good in the Hunter thats
for sure. Lackluster recruitment for '23
I don't think O'Brien lasts the spell tbh.
At risk of losing Dom Young too I think
