Don't know , don't care.Do you know if Brooks was at training at all or hanging around the new guys ?
He's gone bra.
Some one else's problem.
AD time to shine or he can go to.
We want success.
Team comes first.
Only players with less than 5 years experience have returned so far. Players with 5+ years return on the 14th.Do you know if Brooks was at training at all or hanging around the new guys ?
9 years against 2 years, so yes, give AD some time. All fair but I'd argue we haven't seen as much from AD as we have from Brooks.
Break out year 2023 or else it might be time to give up.
Likewise.I hope he can live up to the hype here.....
You boys aren't making that easy (or achievable even)
Very sad news Chicka Outten was my favourite player growing up along with Spook Spencer. Both now goneAnyway.... Keith Outten, who played 5/8 for Balmain in the 1969 grand final was buried today. Great player and a great bloke.
To be fair, he was not a phenom at souths and he really didn’t come with much fanfare or hype. He definitely has added to his game and influence on games since being here. He has creativity, spark and is undoubtedly first grade standard, which cannot always be said for the rest of our backline. His versatility is his strength, but also a weakness, as he hasn’t quite settled in any position throughout his career. I am a fan of his style, unconventional and penetrating. But IMO he simply doesn’t deserve the kind of expectations put on him.I hope he can live up to the hype here.....

A good kick is only as good as the chasers mate.Interesting discussion point regarding a half having a kicking game.
If you look at halves that have taken their teams to premierships in Rugby League, and halves that have taken their country to a World Cup win in Union, many of them were able to control critical moments or even the whole game with field position.
A team needs balance, so kicking is only one piece of the puzzle, but you could have the best team in the game and an awful kicker and win less than 50% of games.
A good kicking game applies huge amounts of pressure and gives teams the ball in areas where they can’t be effective with it. If 20 of 30 sets of 6 are in areas where the other team can’t really attack you, then you are half way to winning the game.
And we can wipe 3.7 million off our cap.The Pom stated that Brooks management had informed the club he was signing elsewhere. It could be wrong because the situation can change but I assume this happened.
Assuming it's true we should release him. He isn't that good and we need a rebuild.
He's no slouch.... Let's not forget all those length of the field intercept triesAnd a greatly underestimated aspect in regards to 6 and 7.
Still sitting on the fence Earl,? Tell me how many good or great sides had slow halves?
Where did he say this @EarlIn my opinion The Pom has the best information on this site. I am basically 99% confident he only releases information sanitized via the club.
Don't let my lack of credibility and outright stupidity put you off in this instance.

Situation with Brooks has taken a turn in the last couple days, with his management informing the club he intends to sign with Knights from 2024 after November 1. Clearly a move to make things happen earlier in 2023. Some at the club believe this could be a move to get an official extension presented. Fast moving situation, expected to come to a head in the week.
Should be noted Sheens want's to keep Brooks & is keen to coach him, but obviously if he signs for 2024 best off releasing him now.
Just searched.... It was some time ago. And was actually @Telltails that posted it.... Pom agreed timing was oddIn my opinion The Pom has the best information on this site. I am basically 99% confident he only releases information sanitized via the club.

Strong defence?
Literally jumped out of the way when Kikau was sliding through....
I'm not a fan.

I doubt he will be released, Sheens said as much, and it would be stupid. I said before i think AD, Brooks, and hastings would not be in the clubs 2024 calander. The club is building in a hard market, with few quality players. The club has to try to hold it's sponsers and fans, so some build is necessary. We will only gain a couple of $100,000 if he goes early, and our 1/2 and 5/8 options are dismal.Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion
Would have thought Sheens would have had a hard on for Chronic Ken, he's the closest thing we've had to TNT. He was clearly injured but also our best metre eater. Would be a loss.weststigersforum.com
There you go.
Sorry Bat, That statement is joke of the century! Doueihi cant defend for crap. One of the main jobs of any fullback is defence , not just directing it but bringing that man down when its one on one. Ask any forum member her who has played fullback. Clearly you have never played fullback in your life. I would like to hear our members who have actually have played fullback opinion on Bats comments. This modern opinion that a fullback is all about when you have the ball in hand(eg Ponga, Campbell, Sloan etc)is just BS.Have said before - Doueihi is a better Fullback than Laurie...
Outside a bit of pace and being a bit sketchy under the high ball...
He offers more from 1 than anywhere else.
His kick return meters, Tackle busting ability and his game from the back would
give us so much more than we currently have...
Worth considering.
