Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He talks the talk on camera eh...
I think he's alright.

Seems to be something going on behind the scenes.

Our 2022 spine is all free to talk and we don't appear to be in any hurry to care....

Now we got some interesting reports of;

- AD parts ways with manager
- Jacko will not be offered a contract at all

... sus.

People think Moses couldn't play with him too

I can’t believe the wrap everyone has on here for Staines. He is no better than Starford, there is no way we can be a half competitive team with him at fullback.

This absolutely heartbreaking if true

Jackson Hastings is exactly the type Man / Player that we need at the Wests Tigers.

Never Stops - This will be another fail

Absolute disgrace. The one guy we've had in years who shows leadership on and off the field, not to mention outplaying our useless, poor excuse of a mute imp halfback. And we are showing him the door. No wonder we're the laughing stock of the NRL. No doubt the Sheens bootlicker clan will be thrilled as they were up in arms during the season when Hastings was moved into the halves and outplayed their favourite midget.

How’s his strike rate up against the WT’s landing a marquee sig - I reckon he’s got us…
yeah I think the odds are looking like
2024
Hastings to Dogs
Brooks to Newcastle
Dylan Brown to Dolphins maybe.

Interesting hearing David riccio on radio today seem to think Hastings potentially to dolphins for 2023 and that would free up cash for Tigers to get klemmer and Frizell

Maybe Sheens think Jacko is a ball hog and he wants more ball movement....

It was mentioned he wants more attacking, go forward game play....

Perhaps an offloading 13 that plays a basic game and doesn't think they're in charge...

Ala Fulton, Heinington.....
I think Hastings has said he wants to play in the halves, therefore no point in offering a contract at all if the coach doesn't rate him as a half.

A bit left field but Interesting hearing David riccio on radio today seem to think Hastings potentially to dolphins as an option and maybe even for 2023 and that would free up cash for Tigers to get klemmer and Frizell in for 2023.

Makes sense if Sheens does not see Hastings as the 7 in 2024, release Hastings early and get Bateman (who apparently may play 13) along with klemmer and Frizell.

Potential Forward pack

8. Klemmer

9. Api

10. Joffa

11. Papali

12. Frizell

13. Bateman

That would leave the club with

7. Brooks

6. Douhie

Rumour Bateman might be playing 13

I think Bateman will be that back row player that moves to centre if a back goes down. Has played centre for England before.

I heard Ipap is keen to play lock.

Talau could be a 13 off the bench once he gets his match fitness and defence up to snuff. His ball playing in the juniors was always impressive.

It is a significant improvement on last year. There is still lots of speculation which is probably how Sheens likes it to be (at this stage).

If we're hell bent on a ball-playing 13, I still think Nathan Brown with Parra paying some freight is a no-brainer.

He basically played halfback for Italy in the world cup. He's up there with Yeo and Radley when it comes to ball-playing from the 13, while being a decent enough out and out prop too if he needs to take hit-ups.

Letting go of Hastings would be a terrible mistake. He was playing hurt for a large part of the year, I honestly think the slowness part is overstated. He's got a thick build that can bust the line when he runs it and he can offload too.

Overthinking things waaaaay too much if we're gonna dump a halfback who is good at 90% of the things a halfback and team leader needs to do just because he's not as quick as a Jahrome Hughes or Mitch Moses. Jacob Liddle and Luke Brooks are both fast - what good were/are they for us? Seriously...

Probably the plan all along.

I honestly don't see AD leaving.
& Sheens adores Brooks.

Watch this space I guess.
