Where trying to change the culture of the club we require tough no nonsense never say die players. It doesn’t matter if they are a little older we need this attitude to rub off onto the younger players. This is a signing to help these kids we have coming through. Totally agree re age and experience but I can’t decide if he’d be a good signing or not. I feel like he might have peaked and throwing fairly large money( from what I read anyway) to bring him back to me is a big gamble.

But he was an upside risk at a young age whilst Bateman is a downside risk at a much older age.

Need some experience in the side too just like benji had around him when he started.

His England performances so far ….. yes …. but get real no way we would be paying $750k. Where did you pull that figure from?

When you add WS Tax (Wooden spoon Tax for the unknowing ) and then the WT Tax (thats the killer )

700-750 k sounds about right ...don't you think ??

Geez that’s a lot of freight for him. Personally would use the money elsewhere.

I'm telling you what I think he will want .....I doubt he gets it ....but Sheens has paid overs for players before .....no one is really managing Sheens spending bar Sheens ......I haven't heard anyone being appointed in a role replacing Sheens himself .....but Lee H thinks he is the Messiah re-incarnated ....

I think Bateman will cost 700k minimum plus the 250k transfer fee. Worth it him and papali will go well together

The current culture of the club is we are an absolute joke. we got the spoon and no 1 takes us seriously. As soon as things go against us we give up and throw in the towel in (often before the kick off) .we have young players with talent but we lack older experienced players who know what it takes to compete at the top level week in week out and win.

Who to blame is a hard 1 it’s a combination of a lot of things ivan takes alot of the blame here he screwed our club in alot of ways

Then Madge tried to fix it but the cap was to messed up for him to be able to do anything significant and by the time he had money to spend every 1 was over his tough training

And Pascoe has to shoulder some of the blame he has over seen all this for far to long and he has approved us releasing our best players of the year for previous last 3 years

And I blame the media aswell

The only man who seems to get any respect from the media is Tim sheens he puts them in there place and knows how to play the game

We could buy Slater, Smith and Cronk in there prime and people on here would be spraying negative rubbish.. You cannot win.
Sheen clearly knows we need experience players to lead and develop all these young ones but everyone he seems to be looking at is too old, too small, bad past, doesn't make enough meters to most on here but if they checked out this years team anyone is an upgrade.
Sheen's has let every player go that should go and looking to add talent. If he pulls the Klemmer, Bateman , and Moses rumours off he deserves a statue out the front..
We are 100% on the way up IMO and the culture will change for the better

Bateman, don't want him unless he is able to bring his earlier NRL form with him. The club lacks some experience, but not worth overpaying greatly for it.
