Only problem with Murray is that he is possibly only a head knock or two away from giving the game away and maybe Jacko doesn't want to go down that road.

I agree that we looked the best when Jackson played at 13 but we need his organisational ability on the field for 80 minutes which is a pretty big ask playing in the middle.

I haven't heard it directly out of Hastings mouth but I'm pretty confident he wants to play 7 rather than 13 and I don't blame him. I'm not sure if his body will hold up over the course of a season at lock.

Just so you don't think I'm a Brooks fanboy my personal opinion is that it's better if Brooks leaves and we try Hastings at 7 and AD at 6.

You know things are bad when people use the argument that Hastings was halfback for 3 of our 4 wins as justification for keeping a player & how crucial said player is to the team and our future despite coming clear last and finishing biggest margin outside the top 8 for over a decade.

If we are benchmarking a player on getting us 3 wins out of 4 wins for a full season they are replaceable.

Against the Knights Hastings touched the ball more than Brooks 60 to 46 receipts.

The Storm game is the only game Hastings touched the ball less than Brooks when they played together in his 16 games including the Broncos game where he got injured.

If we look at possessions effectiveness from an attacking lens it's very clear how the effectiveness difference between Hastings and Brooks. Hastings was actually the least effective creating half in the comp in 22.
