Some interesting results so far. Assuming the Democrats win Arizona and the Republicans win Nevada it’ll be down to Georgia again.
Looks like we've seen the end of Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon and Biden in terms of the 2024 election. That can only be a good thing. It would be nice to see the U.S return to more normal politics with the Democrats far less woke than they are and the Republicans far less extreme. I won't hold my breath though.

My take is denying reality and looking for drama everywhere. It's just wrong.
Elections, climate change, COVID, guns, abortions are all examples of it.
It's cool to be right wing or conservative but not so extreme.
I used to consider myself right wing but now because of the way politics have moved I'm left wing. It's not that my opinions have changed. It's just that the right in the US and maybe elsewhere has moved so far to the right.
Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon is a moron as well. He thrives on the drama and there is no need for it.
I don't see this in Australia or better put the nutters are a minority who have very little impact on policies. I also think the previous liberal government lost the plot and that is why they were voted out but it was nothing at all like Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon and his morons.

Not all Republicans I might add but there are a number who hold views I regard as extreme. A few examples:
* extreme positions on abortion rights that doesn't allow exceptions for rape, mother's age, the mother's health etc
* the 2020 Presidential election was rigged to rob Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon of victory
* supporting the Capitol Hill riots.
Just a few examples and definitely not representative of all Republicans.
It’s disappointing that many people of the right on this thread are raving MAGA, impeach X, personal attack types. I’d really like to see a rational conversation occasionally.
But yeah it’s interesting seeing the first signs of mainstream GOP types turning on Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon. I never agreed with Reagan or the Bushes but at least those guys had values and integrity.

Abortion is a good one you raise , because what you perhaps have heard is plain wrong . Abortion has not been banned .
The recent court case ruling was to basically let each state make there own rules.
Lets take Florida for example which was mainly Rebublic and as of yesterday it is now totally republic.
Abortion is LEGAL , Up to 15 weeks of pregnancy or for medical reasons . Not extreme at all in reality.
Did you know in some democrat States abortion can take place up until and including birth... " Including birth" You didn't hear that wrong , the baby is delivered and left to die! That is extreme at the very highest level imaginable , not to mention just sick and barbaric .
Once again I'm not trying to have a go at you or anyone , merely trying to reply with some balanced information that is rarely passed on through regular media.

Black lives matter people did in fact riot for weeks and burnt cities, houses and businesses. They also killed quite a few people, including police officers. Spin? Fake news? You betcha.
Like trying to tell the truth is dictated by a very sorry news organizations today even when people see the truth with their own eyes... sad really
