Has it ? I honestly don't see it.

The libs were decimated in the last election because they lost seats to people who are interested in climate change, immigration to help our country and trying to create a more egalitarian society in the form of providing increased opportunities to women and minorities.

I had a big thing against the budget deficit that the libs pushed through and labour and the new teal independents appear to be right on-side with fixing this as well.

Good economic management matters but so do social and environmental issues.

I don't think the vast majority of Australians want gun rights or to limit womens ability to have an abortion. These are like the full weirdos.

I dont come in here because it's not my thing but thought id have a look

ive got a friend who is a political campaign manager and I speak with him about a bunch of stuff and his view is that some of these campaigns are really well run he hates the ideology but respects how the campaign goes pick the target audience and tailor your message cited brexit as the classic apparently the big campaign messages were the pound is good and it should be kept and apparently the other was turkey are the enemy odd even surprised him but it's what won the vote also the brexit guys campaigned in areas that had not had anyone go there in 50 years roughly he reckoned it was a prime justification of why you dont want compulsory voting lol

HEY thanks for your reply.
Abortion is a good one you raise , because what you perhaps have heard is plain wrong . Abortion has not been banned .
The recent court case ruling was to basically let each state make there own rules.
Lets take Florida for example which was mainly Rebublic and as of yesterday it is now totally republic.
Abortion is LEGAL , Up to 15 weeks of pregnancy or for medical reasons . Not extreme at all in reality.
Did you know in some democrat States abortion can take place up until and including birth... " Including birth" You didn't hear that wrong , the baby is delivered and left to die! That is extreme at the very highest level imaginable , not to mention just sick and barbaric .
Once again I'm not trying to have a go at you or anyone , merely trying to reply with some balanced information that is rarely passed on through regular media.

Anyone that takes on board even 5% of what is shown after dark, or earlier during the daylight savings period, is being led very far astray.

It's particularly easy to see the more affected, as they use the catchphrases, name calling and the like, or praise posts of those that do.

He actually created a set up which empowered the subjugated as never been done before probably since Kennedy. He started to brake apart a decaying system.

I don't get the abortion comments. I don't understand why the government has to get involved in these decisions. It's a health care issue to me.

What I find interesting is that my idea of right wing is very different to being conservative. I consider myself right wing in that I like lower taxes (within reason), small government, no protectionism etc but also because I think people get to make their own decisions on how they live their lives.

Then we have conservatives trying to legislate not to allow abortion. It's very controlling to me.

I think my idea of a right wing government is very different to the crazy right today.

That to me is the Dems downfall,for all the MAGA Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon haters the US was in far better shape when he was president ....only deadset leftys support child grooming the way it is in the US....Kids are innocent and our future,leave them to their parents not trans teachers or LGBTQ supporters to raise...

Well that’s it. If someone wants to put up a nutty tax proposal fine - if people vote for it fine, that’s democracy. But legislating away a woman’s choice relating to her own body? Nope.

What does my head in is binary involved in the political discussion around abortion. Except for a small amount of very pro life religious people who believe that life begins at conception (which is hard to argue against on a purely scientific basis) and small amount of extreme lefty pro choices who advocate abortion up until birth, most people do not buy into this binary.

Earl if you are pro choice no matter what, "why should this something the Government Controls" then you are ok with a 9.5month abortion, the day before the baby is born at 4kg?

Im not anti abortion, I think abortion should be legal, safe and rare but there is massive difference between a 6 week abortion and 36 week abortion. I defy any parent who has seen the 12 week ultrasound to argue otherwise.
