I think we’re all cross purposes on this. I doubt any but a few think the scenarios you mention are reasonable. What myself and presumably Earl are talking about are total or unreasonable government imposed restrictions. I’d suggest by 9 months there is a reasonable case the mother has had the time to adequately assess whether she wants to give birth.

That is my whole point. The discussion around abortion is always you have to be all the way pro choice or all the way pro life. IMO that is ridiculous and neither is right. IMO no way you should be killing a 30week baby and also no way forcing women to carry from like 6 weeks.

But the whole "her body her choice" is a bullshit narrative. at some point the baby needs protecting.

I've never been into politics but I think you are using dumb simplistic arguments so it's probably not worth engaging with you.

Here is my main thought - a lot of people today argue extremist viewpoints and it's stupid.

I'll give a good example. I consider myself fairly well educated on climate change. I think it's a real issue and potentially apocalyptic. The kicker is I don't think it's that bad just yet and we are actually managing it a lot better than how the issue is being framed. There is a lot of crap science about how any extreme weather event is climate change.

You need to discuss issues with me rationally and factually.

Carefactor earlier tried to make out abortion wasn't banned from republicans and it took me about 1 minute to prove that claim stupid.

Let's try to discuss issues better.

I'll add I'm going to go and watch TV soon and then go to bed but I don't want to engage with stupidity.

It's a pretty dumb argument as well. My dad was a doctor and my mum was a nurse. They've never told me anything horrific about abortion. At some point I figure they won't operate because it's not safe.

It clearly to me spells out that this is a health care issue and not the domain of the government at all.
