Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Fonua Pole extension news is excellent. Typically the kind of player we’d lose but the investment in youth seems to be working.

Of the crop that came through this year I thought he seemed most at home in first grade.

When you think about Utoikamanu, Pole, Matamua, Klemmer, Papali’i, Koroisau, you’ve got a big bunch of bodies to contend with.

Plenty to be excited about in the forwards which isn’t something you could traditionally say about a Wests Tigers team.

He appeared quite comfortable from the get-go and he played with heart, something we need much more of. If given the right support, I think he could develop into quite a handy player.

I just don't think we look like a professional organisation by moving on a player who most pundits from the outside looking in could see made a difference to the performance of the team - even with his limitations -by persisting with the local junior most likely, who for a myriad of reasons has not reached anything near the level that was anticipated, has been given an age to get there, and by all reports also was ready to move on.

The whole bringing back Sheens and Benji, Brooks being voted half back of the year and us playing finals would be the best rugby league story ever but if it goes to crap - more egg on our face and you would have to question their judgement.
Love what Sheens and Benji did at this club - best years of footy ever for me - but if it becomes all about them instead of the best decisions for the club moving forward can't support that. Ready for and need an NRL fairy tale story.
Don't be shocked but I am still waiting for Benji to come out of retirement or early next year no Hastings AD moved on or playing in the centre's and Benji hears the call to lace up the boots again to be honest it would not shock me at all and he is looking light lost some weight in the photos

Just ignore that nonsense.

It doesn't matter if players get on or not. One gossip piece about two team mates not being mates off the field is just useless trash.

Sure some of our boys hangout together, others don't. Who cares, you don't need to like someone to be able to play with them. So long as neither are toxic attitudes (which isn't the case) there's nothing to it.
I agree in a workplace u just get in there and get it done, though rumor today is Hastings didn't show up for training today and has requested a release. Iv no idea what's true.
