Starford To’a #253

For me it’s Naden and Kepaoa as centres. Noffa, ken, to’a and junior to fight it out for the wing spots.
Naden needs to cut the errors out of his game though.

You can spot the deficiencies of players that come through crap clubs.

I think Toa could be good. Will depend on locking down a position for him , and his ability to learn and improve.

Under Sheens he could make a great lock

He has just been re-signed.

He is a winger. Play him there.
Would also help with our kick returns. Out of trouble.

he saved a try yesterday but hes still far from perfect we need too see improvement in his game
still hes young and fits a rebuild so i have no problem with him coming back another year or two

The more experience Kepaoa and Toa get in the centre position the better we will be next year. I'd like to see Kepaoa insert himself more into the game like Joey Manu eg popping up on the right side in attack where his step and passing suit that side.. His size, step, power, pace and ball playing make him a very dangerous player. Dare I write it but his passing game is far superior to Doueihi.

I never get tired of watching the great All Black and Samoan centre Frank Bunce especially when his 5/8 brings him back on the inside for the try under the posts.

Naden is a centre, playing wing
T'oa is a winger, playing centre.

When does common sense come into play?
100% Demps- i was surprised when Naden came back from suspension that he didn’t slot straight into centre. Even more so that Noddy has persevered with this. Naden is having some handling problems on the wing as well.

I hope he has a big off season as WT really need two players to step up in the Centre positions to take advantage of the improved pack.
Yep I agree.
There's going to be competition for centre spot this year which is good.
He and Naden will probably be centres now that Jacko is gone and AD to ⅝.
Staines and Daino will fight it out for fullback, noffa wing...so I'm thinking Starford will probably cover for Ken if he misses out in the centres. 🤔

Toa would be better on the wing. Not sure who in the centres at this stage. How heavy is Talau these days?

whichever position it is .. he needs specialist trainIng in the one position. Same goes for Tupou, AJ, Naden ect.

from the list if fringe first graders in 22 my pick to kick on in 23 is Toa.He is very strong has good pace and can beat a man .His defence has to improve but I think with a much better pack around him he should get the ball with a bit of space which didn't happen at all last season .Also I hope to see Ngutlik In fg sometime in 23 his highlights look sensational
