We don't need another season without a proven half. Surely this is being addressed. Don't see Will Smith as a solution, especially if there are injuries.

Benji always had speed to him. Sure he stunted with his passing and tricks but he always had speed for the try.
Adam isn't a great defender. He is not known for his tackling.
Adam doesn't have speed so he can't be Fullback.
5/8 need to make things happen. Every good aspect of Brooks IMHO suits 5/8 over halfback. Yet where does Adam D fit..??
I can't see Adam D having the endurance for Lock. I like the guy, where does he fit?

Only place I see him fit is centre..unless he gets back into his form he was at 5/8 2 years ago
Which he has his chance to next year after actually having a pre season to get his body right

The easy way to shut them up is to stop pushing an agenda through the med and perform. The aggression then turns back on the club when they don’t bend over backwards to re-sign
Looking at 2022 season with our backline I rate Hastings and Douehi as having that game breaker x factor and rated Laurie for his EFFORT and speed
Weve lost Hastings and now the forum almost seems to be campaigning to remove the other 2 ?
Laurie is a must and I wish others would give same effort and Douehi is imo a decent center which is precisely where we are lacking
If they go with Staines at FB then want to see Laurie at 6
Maybe Naden could pair with Douehi in centers
Weve got wingers galore my picks would be Noffa and Jimmy Ngatlik

Sorry to disagree but Hastings and Douhie didn't have any game breaker attributes apart from Douhie catching bombs and scoring from centre.
Douhies cut out passes and bombs are skilful but his cut out passes go to a winger who is already marked and his bombs go randomly( opposite of what Cleary did to Waqa Blake when he peppered him strategically).
Hastings was a good leader but he was slow and defences read him pretty well at the end.
Laurie has heart and has some good skill but he gets lazy in defence when he's caught out often and he never follows the forwards in the middle. How many times was there a potential offload or break and Laurie was no where to be seen? To be a top fullback there is no slacking off ever.
They aren't the worse but they need to up their game exponentially if they ant to play deep in the finals.

So I have a question. Who will the centre be in 2025.
Because of all things I'm so sick of this position being amateur hour since Whatuira and Elford where there. Yes Simona and Lawrence went alright but jeez, it is probably the hardest position to defend and yet year after year it repeats the same rubbish.
What juniors do we have that are out and out centres. Not centres/2nd row. Centres?
