Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

No way is Moses better than DCE and Hynes, he also had a better pack in front of him than both of them this year
1. Cleary
2. Reynolds
3. Hunt
4. Hughes
5. Moses
6. DCE
7. Hynes
8. Townsend

he's still far more improved on what we have. those rankings are my opinion btw
I’d have Moses and Hughes above hunt but they all have different attributes.

I don't really want to wade into this ....but I think if a person wants to come out and make claims about being in the know they should at least own it when they are wrong ...if your not prepared to own your misinformation ...then don't post it ....Fair ????
I believe we would have to take out the rumours part of this thread as rumours are just gossip from originating sources in majority of cases

I can't believe people are still salty at Mitch's exit. He was young, our club was a rabble, he'd been playing Taylor ball for a good while and then told he was the lowest priority out of the 4.

You can't expect the club to be idiots and for him to then just suck it up at that age.

Its time to mend the bridge, like we did with benji. He's one of ours. It's great that he is happy to.

Everyone must be perfect on this forum

Hynes has done it for one year. he also had a soft draw and bombed out in the semis. Moses made the grand final. DCE is 34 next year. brilliant player in his prime but is certainly on the decline.
First year at halfback he got dally m halfback of the year (having been just as good at fullback), that is a plus not a minus. And his Sharks team was not stacked with the talent that the Eels team had this year. Hynes will only get better, Moses will continue to be the downhill skier he's always been.

The question all our supporters need to ask is will he significantly improve our team? Of course he will and take the heat of Brooks so teams will have to contend with Koroisau, Moses, Brooks and perhaps a ball playing lock.

We've made some big signing mistakes over the last 4 years, but re-signing Moses will be the biggest.

WT's don't do it.
Hahahahahaha.

Actually explain it though.

How is it anything other than an enormous positive?

It would actually be transformative for the club’s fortunes into becoming a quality side if he was to come.

Why would Moses 'take the heat off Brooks' any better than the last thousand who've tried that?

Eels coming out and saying that they will not release Moses from his contract. Whether or not we manage to get him, I'm just enjoying the fact that the Eels are having to come out and deny player releases after all the times they've done it to us. Hate that scum club with a passion and hope we manage to pull it off. Regardless of my disdain for the tanker, I'm willing to put it aside so long as the Eels get shafted
well if Moses wants to come back to the Tigers, he has plenty of experience in changing a clubs decision , a disinterested key position for 2023 wont make the slime happy chappies

Moses is a quality half, a dominant and quick half who is a genuine threat to defences and is another point of attack. Brooks is targeted by other teams. Having Moses, Koroisau, Brooks and Brown or another ball playing lock increases your points of attack and keeps defences on edge.

How much do you pay for the 5th best 7 ....and before someone says how much we pay for Brooks ...that is stupid money ...we screwed that up

Moses was coached by Joey last year. I think he improved this year because of it. Defensively made better decisions and attempts aswell. Each year at parra he got better.
I’m not an advocate of Mitch cause he reminds me of a petulant child. But on the above points I can see him being worthwhile for us moving forward

I don't need to, we've followed the Tigers and have seen their decisions over the years.

Moses is best available half for what we are desperately lacking.

I think that at the time of his messy exit from our club, if one looks at the facts objectively ….. the blame can be pretty much evenly shared between coach Cleary-WT recruitment / retention priorities and the Moses and his management team.

I believe that the current WT offer includes a hefty private sponsorship component which sits outside the salary cap.

He brings a significant skills set including game management, speed, energy-enthusiasm, goal kicking proficiency and his defence capabilities have improved 100% since he was with us. Bring him on board WT.
