The left wing intellectual lightweights on here don't exactly bringing an A game to rebut anything. Their ideology and parties have been so embarrassed and shamed recently they've run for the hills. They have nothing to say that wont be returned ten fold. Its like they're using a gel blaster against a howitzer. They've got nothing. In the end the truth shines through. The lads have been very enthusiastic.
As for the Japanese invading Australia I don't think the 7th division mattered much given the Japanese only seriously considered an invasion of Australia with about 25 divisions after the conquest of China...which didn't happen of course.
But the return of the 7th did help secure Port Moresby improving security for U.S. Australia shipping lanes.

My dad was in Darwin when it was bombed.
I've flown all over PNG in helicopters, never had to walk it like those poor Aussies did on the track.

Ive got a granddad, GUncle WW1, 3 uncles WW2, buried all around the world. My dad and 2 brothers and me all served, I'm the only one left now.
