What Will Make a Successful 2023

I'll tell you what I use:-

1. Firefox browser
2. HTTPS everywhere
3. Decentraleyes
4. DuckDuck Go Privacy Essentials
5. Privacy Badger
6. privacy Pass
7. Ublock Origin

I also use a VPN when browsing and I basically always use DuckDuck Go when searching the Internet.

I probably have too many ad-ons. I only added DuckDuck Go Privacy Essentials recently.

I can't use some sites sometimes but you can always disable one of the things I use.

I worked in IT and I use Linux not Windows or Apple. I don't know how people use anything other than Linux. I find it so much better. I used to use Windows at work and hated it.
Earl, do you pay for any of those?
I’ll have a look at Linux.

Top 8 in 2023. Don't even need to win it all, though that would be nice. Just to
a) Get the media off our back regarding the finals drought
b) Help with recruitment and retention

Developing or signing another genuine star, someone in the conversation for 'best in position', like Ice and Api, would be nice too.

Yes, it also seems ironic that people are willing to pay so as to not listen/watch ads.
Funny that, I don't think I have paid for anything to not watch ads. Spotify, Netflix etc I pay moreso for the flexibility. In fact, targeted ads are actually a great way to discover things IMO.

Still better than TV/radio where you'd have to sit through 3 minutes of ads about random things you are never going to buy anyway.

uBlock Origin is all you need if you have Firefox, Chrome or Edge.

SponsorBlock is another good one which allows people to manually submit ad segments in YouTube videos. This means for some videos you can skip the ads in the middle of a video.

I just assumed people would pay for an adless Spotify or YouTube (e.g.) because the offer is continuous. Send money and we’ll stop the ads.
To your point about being targeted as a sales prospect...I agree, don’t mind someone trying to sell me something which I previously thought I needed, but don’t like the invasive process of being prequalified.

IMO... A successful year would be.. no super embarrassing blowouts that happened last year.. been following the tigers for 50+ years and they were the worst I've seen.. developing a couple of the 22yr and under juniors into genuine 1st graders.. and the cherry would be to make the 8.. but not essential.. 24 and 25 seem to more of the target

Ha ha. 🙂
I remember Benji saying years ago that he wanted to pursue coaching so it's nothing new I guess.
I love the way he's just jumped straight into it with enthusiasm.
He probably knows that success now breeds success in the future, for him 🤔
The thing that puzzles me about him, is if he has had these aspirations for a long time, why hasnt he gotten off his arse and started coaching at any level before?
To jump straight into professional first grade coaching is the height of ignorance and arrogance combined.

Yeah I think for a while media was his ambition, he was doing heaps.... We dangled a carrot with a whistle...
Exactly. He was going the media route for sure.
It was only in the past year I heard him start mentioning his ambition to coach.
I don’t think he’s going to like it too much.
