I can’t believe what I’m reading on here? Blocker and Benny are 2 legends of the joint venture. They are entitled to an opinion like the rest of us. All this dribble about Sheens has changed everything and fruit is falling from the trees? Let’s not set ourselves up for a big fall? We are the spooners until we get on the park and prove we’re not. And that’s what Mitch has to consider too.

If a team can’t do the basics you can’t ask them to do the skilful, particularly with no go forward. Our cattle has been limited to say the least.

That's why I think Sheens will focus on basic skills that have let us down for so long.

The basic stuff like passing, catching, quick play the balls with a dummy half in position to receive the ball at all times.

Basic stuff that you need to do to maintain possession and put maximum pressure on the oppositions defences while limiting their opportunities with the ball and keeping your self relatively fresh for when you have to defend.

This is what we get 100% wrong.
The Wests Tigers is not a new Club. In fact we are the oldest club because we have 200+ years of history.

Benny Elias is a hero, he fought hard and rough for our club. So did Tommy, so did Blocker, so did Sironen.

Russell crowe read the book of feuds to souths, Easts pushes hard their culture. We have 2 great clubs with two great and deep cultures now coming as 1.

The Elias I met was ok to me, but Balmain stayed at a family pub/motel and the next morning I remember the adults were not happy with him had something to do with a local girl. I have always been sus on his character. Nowadays he is just a jibberer who craves the limelight.

It wouldn’t matter what he said, being an ex Balmain player carries the heavy burden of continual disengagement.
It wouldn’t matter how much blood he spilt, how many uppercuts connected while trying to rake the ball back for his mates, or when Blocker couldn’t get there to run interference.
Our club needs the team spirit these guys had.

Benny, is a media personality, as are many other good and great footballers . Some love him, some hate him, Most that is written, is rumors taken out of proportion, just like the posts on this forum.
The media exists on stories, and contacts these guys for something to write about,when it is slack.
All of the comments they made, were inofensive, and honest. It's a nothing story,that's stirred up a lot rubbish on the forum. More dribble will come, don't bite !

I dont think i was ever confident re Moses how can you be after the first time around, the Benny article sort of seemed like a softening the blow kinda feel. He's a muppet but he'd definitely know whats going on inside MM's head. If he stays at Parra so be it what can you do but i still think the dogs will come from the clouds and somehow magically fit him into their cap.
I still think our inability so far to land that marquee spine player (yes i know Api) is holding us back we need to break that cycle of failure.
