I dont begrudge the players $$$ since its only a relatively short career in top grade with probable injury and body wear having long term effect on their later years, but if this only allows the richer, rorter clubs to keep on, keeping on at the expense of lesser clubs lower down, the status quo will contiue.

We already had the cash for them and now have 2M more than expected. That SHOULD get us a couple of stars. I vote for RTS or Teddy, plus Cleary. Back up plan of Hass and Fifita. No point not going hard in your dreams.

C'mon happy . . . I think when it's equality in as well . . . then the balance might even up.

It's all relative though at the end of the day. Same pool of players and clubs have same amount of $$$.

The only thing is that it may enable to bring in more quality from the UK.

Problem is now every cap has cash. Before this there were only a few. Now every club has an extra 1-2 mill depending on how they have aligned their contracts. And again, if other clubs are in the mix we are far less desirable.

Most teams would of assumed a bigger increase. Sucks for lower teams but the NRL has never gave them a leg up. Take the dolphins and us as an example.
