My opinion is Bateman on an edge and Joe O at lock.

1-13 is pretty set now with Bateman signing. The only question is does Sheens go with 3 wingers or we wait to see which one of Noffa, Ken and Staines misses out.

I'm glad that our young guys like Talau, Blore, Simpkin, Twal, Pole etc won't be forced to play 80 unless there are injuries.

They can all be eased back through the bench.

If Brooks doesn't have a little bit of success now then it is 100% ESL for him.

if that does happen Doueihi in centres in 2023 then 2024 Sheens can use Doueihi 500k to 600k cash towards Ramien as a centre

I think with our back row shortages, I don't want to see Talau put to the centres. I still think Laurie at 1 is our best option and Staines on the wing. But I expect Sheens to go with Staines at 1, Laurie at 6 and Doueihi at either 4 or 13

For me our best 2 existing forwards Stephano and Joffa line up with the 4 main newcomers Api IPaps Klemmer and Bateman - that's a powerful 6 and plenty of competition for the bench eg Blore ,Pole ,Twal Matamua
Given Brooks and AD in the half's and Staines , Noffa , Naden and Kenny (if truly fit ) with Laurie make a pretty good backline and Will Smith as a utility
Would love to see Tommy T make a comeback but unsure how fit he is ?

I think that the club will keep one spot open in case a good player becomes available later in the season.
Most clubs have a space left for that reason.
Except Dogs they already have 60 players in their squad.

I am only guessing but I think our squad is "fluid" and I wouldn't be surprised that there might be even more players moved on in the new year and therefore allow more players to come in. This is an exciting and courageous re-design of our team.

There has been a few filling in at half for most of preseason , Doueihi has been out , and Brooks is still carrying a calf injury so I wouldnt be taking to much notice of positions at training just yet

no, the player said that was where sheens wanted them to play , different to players not been at training
