The cap has been sorted yet nothing has changed , there is no leaks coming from the media. Are we been played , the players return to training next week , u would think that certain things wood have be sorted by now , especially in browns case . If Moses re-signed with Eels, why would they wait weeks to announce it? They'd end the speculation now.

Only Tigers (or Dogs) would have to wait weeks because they would be attempting to get him over for 2023.

Geez the rugby league winds blow every which way in here sometimes. MM has probably only in the last week got finalised offers from each club, he might have made his decision already but the managers and what not will be going through each contract with a fine tooth comb making sure they've got the best deal possible.

So many i's to dot and t's to cross we won't know anything for sure for at least another week with a deal this big.

I think it's more than possible right now, but that's entirely a guess on my behalf. I reckon the delays have been to grab a bit more cash on the deal, Parramatta peaked last year whereas the Tigers are on the up. MM's best chance for a premiership is here not at the Eels, and he probably knows it.

I suppose we have to wait and see but my expectations are low.

My take on all of this is we would take N Brown if Mitch comes for 24 however because the Eels have restructured Moses deal in the last week or so which involves larger 23 increases on the proviso Brown leaves (they would allocate most of his cap space to Moses) we have stepped back from Brown.

Just noticed this as the latest news/update on there (the following is a copy paste job):

Ducks and Drakes being played.

Tigers dont want to sign Nathan Brown before Mitch as its frees up $300K for the Eels to sign Tapau and resign Moses using the extra cash. The extra TPA's the tigers are trying to obtain for Mitch isnt eventuating.

The Dogs are still in the race apparently, god knows how they are staying under the Cap for 2024. They must know something about a further increase in the cap or something, or they are prepared to let Burton leave. Bizare, there is talk now that the Dogs know they are out but are trying to make sure the Eels have to spend huge on the cap to keep him. This is becoming weird.


For the record the Dolphins have made an offer as well, dont know the figure, but Mitch dosnt want to live in Qland.
