No I'm not knocking the bloke at al. Just it was the only game scenario on that video and the fact that it showed a forward pass and a forward overrunning it made me laugh.

Nothing to do with any player. Just thought it was funny considering we have a new centre of excellence that is yet to rub off on players 😂

Played fullback, wing and centre this year in Flegg.

There was competition for the fullback spot early in the season from CJ Mundine and Jayme Elias, but he ended up winning it off them and holding it for the year.

Very talented athlete. Good to see his game at fullback is developing well. I thought he would be a chance of moving to wing, but by the sounds of Sheens, he might have the KOE Cup number 1 jersey.

Probably. But jeez I love how negotiations are kept in house. We probably won't get him but at least our process has improved 10 fold.

I guess it depends on where they play Ponga. If he is at FB then a Gamble/Hastings halves pairing is on the cards. If they try him at 5/8, then Gamble may be playing a bit of NSW Cup.

Has been training really well over pre-season and Sheens is a big fan.

Sheens is the kind of coach to give green young kids a red hot crack early on too, I love that about him.

How many times have we tweaked the contract conditions and have the other side tell us, we’ll get back to you next week? Is it 4? Surely nobody does this if they’re not serious?

Mm extending with Parra is far more straightforward than him signing with us. If they offered him a good deal and he's happy with it, he signs it and it's done.
With us there's a number of other pieces like trying to negotiate an early release, signing all the new tpas etc. In my opinion the longer it guess the better it is for us.

Even if they go with Hastings & Pogo there is a good chance Gamble will play a lot of games throughout the season. Last year Hastings played 16 and Ponga has only played 29 games in 2 seasons.

Also good that the kids are getting a real look in as well, something for them to aspire to by training with the first grade team. Good experience for them, it's heartening to hear that the young guys are doing well.
