Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I disagree I think titans will improve a lot this year they have brought well and filled their holes.

They have brought in an experienced half to steer the ship and get David faffita good early ball when he needs it

They have purchased a premiership winning hooker

Purchased a great defensive centre

Will be a very interesting year a lot of teams rosters have significantly improved but they may not move up the ladder gonna be a cracking competition this year
Checking, here is their predicted squad...
Kieran Foran may do a bit but he is super busted. I expect a slump exiting Manly and return to Bulldogs form. Kieran is a good player but, pass. Combined with Boyd I expect nothing.

Sam Verrills has done great at Easts so yes he will do good with the titans.
Considering that Canberra is trying to poach David Fifita I expect nothing from the titans. Yet with Fifita, yep they will be a mid range team.
  1. AJ Brimson
  2. Jojo Fifita
  3. Aaron Schoupp
  4. Phil Sami
  5. Alofiana Khan-Pereira
  6. Kieran Foran
  7. Tanah Boyd
  8. Moeaki Fotuaika
  9. Sam Verrills
  10. Tino Fa’asuamaleaui
  11. David Fifita
  12. Beau Fermor
  13. Erin Clark
  14. Jayden Campbell
  15. Jaimin Jolliffe
  16. Isaac Liu
  17. Joe Stimson

Sickens me when folks on here
death ride the franchise. Can't
Hack it or understand it TBH.

Been through so much for so
long, I can't understand the
compulsion to talk shit about
us and stay typing on here lol
Totally agree. Success takes time. Most want immediate results which ain’t gonna happen. In saying that knew 2022 was a ride off before the comp started. That was obvious. But for 2023 will be very different. Don’t know how we managed the recruits that we did. But well done to all those involved. We are building to something special and need to be patient and be in a position to pounce when the right opportunity presents itself and it will. Patience and planning is the key. Without it, forget it!!! Go Tigers 2023, 2024, 2025…..I am going to enjoy the ride!

Burton is a big boy, and a wonderfull footballer, Gus said he will end up in the forwards, and i agree. 5yrs is a long time in this game, and in 2yrs could be in the pigs, Will he adapt, or be anywhere near his current value,? It's a big risk !
If it were me I'd have Burton as a gun centre.........that what he is, a destructive centre.

Everyone wants to be a half or FB these days is BS.

Trying to manufacture a half outta him might ruin him.

Yes, sadly yes.
Everyone has to be a FULLBACK, Halfback or 5/8 so their manager can ask for a 800k min paypacket. :(

So wrong on so many levels. IMHO AD would be more inclined to centre if the pay was not the problem.

Personally, I liked a good playmaker center. Jamie Lyon/GI/SKD/Jennings did it, Gaznier/Cooper did it for St George. If everyone drives everything out of halfback we get clone teams.

Guys like Brian T'oo may never be a good Fullback. Still incredibly destructive on the wing.

There are some players who could chase bigger money elsewhere as a fullback but happy to settle for less money to play as a winger and centre... Manu and Sua'ali'i being examples 🤥

I can’t see how we’re aren’t playing finals footy next year .
We are gonna shock a lot of people .

Depends on the fitness of our pack and if our backs who have struggled the last few years can fire with the extra time and space they'll be given. But if everyone stays fit, why not.

Thank you, thank you very much!
Yeah, my roots are from a half an hour or so drive up the Newell at Peak Hill, and without continuing gold mining, the festival is about the only stimulus that the town gets.

Our record at Leichhardt is abysmal. Few floggings to. How about we just try and get the two points for a change.
A j Brimson grows another leg at Leichardt made it a bad day out for me more then once

Manu definitely I believe his contract was 500k if not last year then 2021. He was upgraded at some point... Joey Manu could easily get a 1Mil contract at fullback.

Sua'ali'i with 1 year contracts each negotiated for a higher price I don't think is settling for less money. I believe Sua'ali'i was already past 1 million dollar deal at Souths and signed for more with Easts... . Look Easts make discussing the salary cap funny for some reason. ;)

I notice that Easts, Manly and Knights use the "pay a few very good players well" idea. Knights paid 1m to get Klemmer then did it again to get Frizzel, it had a mixed success. Easts going hard for Cronk and SBW worked well for them. Yet it seems coaching flexibility, like allowing SBW to do boxing got them over the line.

I was just having a read on the Eels forum, and they are extremely confident that Moses has re-signed with them. I wonder if any of our insiders know and can confirm this.

It will be interesting to see how Brooks / AD / Daine work out this year and if any of them are extended prior to the season..

Except Easts have more than a few good players who are payed well, mostly outside of the cap. You have Tedesco, Manu, Suuali, Crighton, Keary, JWH, Brandon Smith, Collins, Tupou, Radley, Walker all on good money, then the Butcher brothers, Paulo, Watson, Turpin, Lodge to fit in as well, plus about 12 more players to fill the top 30
