I agree with that. When was the last time Tigers forwards ‘set a platform’? Those aren’t just words, look at the efforts of Taumololo, Paulo, Papali’i etc. they dominate - even pulverise opponents. That is a platform. Our forwards have been weak as piss for years.

Well we have a really good looking pack this year so he has zero excuses anymore, which is the point I was trying to make. If he plays well we should win games

At the risk of being called a Brooks lover, well said.
I just want the best halfback we can get for the tigers, coz it’s the Tigers I support. At the moment, it looks like Tim has decided Luke is it for next year, so yes I will continue to support the club I love.

but do we have one of the best 8 packs in the league? Maybe, if they stay relatively healthy. If not there is not much behind the best 17, so probably not. So if we cop a few injuries and suspensions regularly throughout the season and finish say 10th. Is that 'another failure by Brooks' or is that about as good as you could expect him/the team to go?
And if it is 'about as good as you could expect them to go, then why is he ridiculed for years he hasn't taken a bottom 4 pack to finals?
 
With sheens style of play I can see less dependency on brooks to control the game. So hopefully the pressure releases and he plays better.
I dont think there is any better half on the market this year to replace him
Hastings definitely doesn’t suit sheens style as a half. The fact he wants to touch the ball too often is my assumption. As a forward I definitely believe we signed better and klemmer is more value to us.

I guess some are of the belief that if you are yelling at your team mates that is good. Whether your team-mates care to listen or what you are saying is said in a respectful manner are different issues.

I don't know why so many members lose brain cells over Brooks, over 20,000 posts.
Our lack of success and shocking performances can't rest on his shoulders.
I blame the club for paying him such exuberant salaries over the years.
Brooks was never going to succeed with a dismal team so why pay him so much.
It's the horse that does the hard work, a jockey rarely get a nag home otherwise bookies would go broke.
He should be on 600k max and if he and the team were performing then you increase his salary accordingly.
I've had a chance to watch a lot of WT recorded games over the off season and Brooks was not the only player to blame.....if you disagree it's because of your total dislike for the guy, or should I say fallguy, your focusing on him during losing games. Take the Brooks goggles off.
I'm not a Brooks lover or hater, childish terms. Like Butface said, we just want the best half we can get. If atm it's him, then get behind him.
When Sheens took over there was an obvious intention of his to get a decent pack and work on pathways. That is happening. Now for the backs.
Hopefully developing players like Josh Feledely will come through etc.
He threw a carrot out to Moses and has offered good money, that's ok but to offer 1m+ to Brooks is crazy and not his fault.
Brooks is best suited to running... he's not a general so stop bagging him for not being one.
At my age if the Tigers offered me $1m to come back and play I'd be putting my hand out...are you going to blame me for being crap or the club?

I don't care what money he is on, never been a factor for my dislike of him at 7. I care he is garbage at his job be it $1 a week or a mill a year. The guy has cost us plenty of games by being the half back which in turn has cost us final finishes and one is fooling themselves if they think he hasn't.

I never go into a game disliking Brooks at 7, somehow though after many many games I have the opposite feeling after the game.

I respect that, we obviously watch different games and view things differently, that's ok.
