How long before you get notified of a speeding fine/any other fine in NSW?

About 8 years ago I was rushing to hospital after my son got kicked by a horse. Was doing 80 in a 60 past a suv speed camera . Was waiting weeks but never got anything and forgot about it. Assuming they were packing up or car in lane beside me blocked camera.
Had a bruised and bleed on the liver but only spent 2 nights in hospital. Was only a light red mark half a hoofprint

I was 0.4 of a second over the line at an intersection, got hit by a red light camera in nsw that is 3 demerits and $500

Hope you got yourself a couple of lottery tickets. Glad that your son was ok, it would have been a terrifying experience.

Ouch. NSW fines system is such a revenue raising exercise and don’t even get me started on those Macquarie Bank owned mobile cameras, those mongrels were even out setting up at 10am on Christmas morning. Paying money to the government is bad enough but lining the pockets of banks is infuriating.

Mum told me you can get off a fine if you have no previous records. You can appeal it apparently. My mummy is a very slow and safe driver
I think it helps if you are a female mate ...I can think of around 4-5 females including my mrs who got away with cautions ......when I asked an officer once would it help if I was female it didn't go down well ......sorry I'm a shocker with speeding ...too busy trying to get as far as possible from work maybe lol .....just have so much going on in my head and then next minute flashing lights ...20 kmhs over ...not even thinking about speeding

Was optimistic that I would of gotten off any way
He was lucky. Was catching them in paddock to give niece and nephew a ride. 4 x kids under 12. Son was holding 1st caught(loosely) when another came up for a pat. The one he was holding turned and kicked at the other. How things happen so fast

Did the mobile cameras set up signage before and after (like they said they would revert to doing) or were they trying to hide themselves?

Never had such luck myself.

Once I got fined for doing 110km/h on the northern approach to the Harbour Bridge (was testing a higher gearing on a bike I had).
Cop who pulled me over said, 'Another 10kmh and I'd be carting your butt in.'
Being the nice chap I was my reply was' Do you want me to go back and give it another crack?'
Don't know why he wanted to check for defects after that 🙂
So your tats are from prison haha

What if you’re from interstate and you think you’ve infringed in NSW? Anyone have an understanding on that?
From what I have been told all states apart from WA keep track of offences in other states. I was told this by WA roads officer when I took the rap for a fine occurred there for a mate of mine who was driving a car I hired over there. He was scared he would lose his NSW license, so I took the rap. I thought I could get out of the fine by appealing that I had gone 47 years without an infringement. I was told that they had no provision to let people get off paying fines, but unlike other states arrangements, no points would be shown on my NSW licence.

My first car was a complete 💩box. I was running late for work, so I gunned down Bungarribee Rd. The cop pulled me over ... Did you realise you were doing 97 in a 60km zone? ... 97? Are you sure? I didn't think it could go that fast. 97!!... Would you step out of the car please? ... actually I'd rather not. I'm wearing koala slippers because the windscreen leaks ☺️
Luckily I'm so old that even though I was on my Ps I didn't lose my licence. Just a hefty fine (more than a week's wage in 1985) and lots of ribbing from everyone I knew

I have NEVER got a caution. If I get pulled over, I get fined

I can’t explain it but I’ve been pulled over that many times in nsw and Qld and let off with a warning. Once in country Qld Doing 130 in a 100. Flying over Sydney Harbour Bridge at 90 in a 60. And quite a few other times. Once I didn’t even have my licence and was let off with a warning. I can’t explain it?

it was a fixed red light camera, my fault I had a big truck in front and behind me and it was dark I didn't think I could break in time when lightning amber due to lights of truck behind me. After reviewing the photo I would have been able to hence I didn't appeal the fine. 0.4 of a second I almost made it...
cheaper fine to go 20km over the limit its $270 odd vs red light $500
