Laurie did do it last year they just didn't give him the ballDoes anyone know through the preseason if Laurie/Staines have been playing through the middle and backing up? Laurie never did it last year and just wish that they bring back fullbacks to do it. An offload or quick dash around the ruck is such an attacking threat.
Let's hope the 200 passing drills pay off, and some of our sticky finger players, actually hit a running player on the chest now and then.Laurie did do it last year they just didn't give him the ball
Must of been watching different games because I never seen him hanging around the forwards.Laurie did do it last year they just didn't give him the ball
If he hung around the forwards looking for a break or an off load he would have had to have a blanket around his shoulders to keep warm 🙂Must of been watching different games because I never seen him hanging around the forwards.
The forwards were ordinary obviously but Laurie needs to go harder and not slack off.
Tell 'em to stay on topic. You have to click on more tweets after the last WT tweets, if you dont it goes onto different stuff, just like a forum 👍
Sorry just a joke Suzie, no offence intended 👍Hope the tigers aren't on the same flight as the Swifts, they've got COVID 😱

Yeah we did lol.We would have been lucky to have 10 offloads all season last year. But if we win game 1 and are leading game 2 it’s offload mania!
Noone can have Pole in our head to head battles except me. I bags him first 🙂Christian Nicolussi (Herald)
Described as a “bit of a Jason Taumalolo-like clone”, Fonua Pole will be one of the youngsters looking to make an immediate impression with coach Tim Sheens in Wests Tigers’ first trial match of 2023 on Thursday.
The NRL’s $100,000 prize purse for the winner of the new pre-season challenge will not be enough to tempt coaches to rush back their stars for this weekend’s fixtures.
But fans will still get the chance to watch fringe players, including Pole who played ten NRL games at the back end of last season and has impressed over the summer.
A regular winner of the club’s ‘trainer of the week award’, 20-year-old Pole has spent time in the front row and on an edge, and will play in both positions against the Warriors on Thursday night.
Tigers representative recruit David Klemmer, who will not feature against the Warriors, praised Pole for his athleticism and work rate, comparing him to Cowboys wrecking ball Taumalolo. “He’s just so athletic,” Klemmer said.
Pole, who has already been extended through until the end of 2025, has the chance to nail down the starting No. 13 jersey come round one, especially if Joe Ofahengaue fails to overcome a niggling calf injury.
Stefano Utoikamanu, another player who has won over Klemmer, will start up front, while excitement machine Jahream Bula will spend some time off the bench at fullback. Charlie Staines will wear the No.1.
Did Tim ever hit that deadline?
