Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Nine News reporting the Broncos have launched a promotional campaign with the punchline that Brisbane is a one horse town. It is aimed directly at the Dolphins. I believe the Dolphins will be a very strong club in the long term. The Broncos are obviously worried.
Honestly the broncs have all the south east qld corporate dollars. The Cowboys are a one team town and the dolphins have a goldmine there at Redcliffe with the leagues club. Deadset the Titans are struggling with 3 teams in qld, I can't see them surviving 5 years with 4 teams in qld running around now. Destined to be another failed Gold Coast team.

What if they said we want Brooks for Moses, we would be silly not to let him go to get Moses for this year

I don't believe in these trades. They basically never happen. Parra refused to release IP and Stef. I can't see how they would release Moses.

We'd be loony tunes though not to release Brooks for Moses.

Just to be clear though - Moses hasn't signed with us officially and he may not and I think there is basically no chance of getting him for this season.

Still no guarantee that MM has signed or is about to sign. So talking about horse trading is wishful thinking at best.
Also if Moses did come this season he will want the 1.4 or what ever the figure we offered for 2024. Doubt we have the cap space available without trading a top end contract. I guess it will depend on the new cap details and when they become effective.

nobody to replace him with for 2023 neither Douihie
we do have good depth inforwards for 2023

Yes Joffa played great last year in a side where we came last and a very ordinary forward pack.

Joffa is not a better front rower than klemmer and Stef has way more upside. We even have Pole coming through

Joffa is not a better second rower than Papali or Bateman

Is he the ballplaying lock we want probably not

Joffa is a bench front rower on good coin and the onpy forward worth some coin you could possibly trade
What’s your latest with Mitch, you’ve been calling him as coming for a long time now

Even if he did sign he's not coming this year. Parra still has a chance to go all the way, which they won't jeopodise by letting him go.

Please no more talk about it. It won't happen

I agree that he's not coming this year. But completely disagree Parra has any chance of going all the way, they are done for the next 5 years now. We are rising right as they are fading.

Parramatta still have every chance of being there at the pointy end this season. They have lost Papali'i and Mahoney of note. If they correct for those losses (difficult, no doubt), they still have the forward pack, the halves and a squad at large to trouble most of the competition on their day. Hodgson has every chance of substituting for Mahoney, with Ice being the more difficult edge threat to replace.

Whilst I agree they're on the slide, I think this year they can still be thereabouts, particularly if they play to their strengths once more.

...... in my opinion.
