40 minutes gone and it seems like I am watching last years NSW cup side , where the hell is the so called attacking football , there all standing flat , right hand defence is terrible, wakeham is pathetic . I known this is just the kids but what the hell have them been doing at training

Staines won't be fullback. Out of the backline Tupou and Kepoa are decent.

There is a lot to like out on the field. Tumeth, Seyfarth, Reilly, Utoikamanu, Staines are all playing well. Tumeth is a standout.

Caught the WL podcast the other night, and was pleased to hear that in conversation Farah stated that Tumeth was the player to watch out for.

Na he's been alright. He should be in the middle though. Not an edge.

My takeaway from the first half:

- Talau and Scolari defence looks shaky

- Tumeth, Asu, Staines, Pole and Stef all look strong

- Sione Fainu looks solid

- Reily looks promising with solid defence
- Wakeham has had moments, but overrall has been pretty poor

- Matauma overplayed his hand and didn’t play well, I do see a solid potential player though

Talau has to be one of the most strangely hyped young players in the NRL. People talk about him in a way that's not at all representative of how he plays.
