Koroisau, Brooks, and Ofahengaue all rested for precautionary reasons, after dealing with niggling injuries recently.

All three will be fit for Round 1.

Seyfarth starting is yuk.

Interesting Twal at lock, his best season was at Lock for us earned him a callup into the NSW camp after a brilliant season. People forget how good he played before injury got him.

Blore has had a small injury recently.

Was training in the rehab group at the recent Field Day.

Seyfarth started on the right edge in the opposed session that day, so am not surprised to see him there.

I don't mind it that much though. Klemmer, Twal and Joe O can all play big minutes.

AJ had feet for hands when he first came in, but he is already a better player than Talau will ever be.

My take on the forwards was Pole & Blore will be mostly off the bench to start the year so have them start. Blore has missed ALOT of footy the last few years so why start him. Seyfarth can keep the edge tight defensively to start with then good - I’m no fan of Seyfarth but highlights our backrow depth atm.

Re TT we know he is rated for some reason so make sense in a trial to give him more gametime against a normally physical and tight Raiders team.

Expect Staines to fullback and Laurie to halves at some point as well.
