Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

You've missed the bit where it has been stated the next two years are foundation building. Yes we can have some good performances and our recruitment has been excellent, but the work is not finished yet - it's a semi colon not a fullstop.

Let's wait and see what happens. I haven't looked forward for a long time with the Tigers. I don't have any confidence that in 2 or 3 years time everything will be cooking.

I hope it is.

I should have added in relation to Brooks I don't think he is a dud player like a lot of his haters seem to think. I just don't think he is a top tier player. He is an average player in a dud team.

Super thorough as usual, @KingRobbie. Awesome work mate.

I've got us above Dragons, Dolphins, Warriors and Titans.

I think we're on par, or in the ballpark of, Raiders, Newcastle, Canterbury and Brisbane.

So I tend to think @Mighty_Tiger is pretty on the money in his assessment.

There's only two teams that have all 4 spots loaded, and they are both well known to have creative accountants. Not even Penrith have stars in all Four spots, at full strength our spine is somewhere in the middle, trouble is we are 1 injury away from a deep dark chasm.
Sure we need an upgrade, but it's well documented that they are trying to solve that in the next two years.
Thanks for the list KR!

It's a team game and yes the spine is important. However some of those spines look good with the exception of the 9 - the key player in the team.
Having Api alone, running our new look forward pack from dummy half, hopefully will make up for some of the deficiencies that are in our current spine. Until then, we can only imagine...

lock this in please.

I agree with you to a point. The problem is people are talking up Sheens, Benji etc as being great coaches and we've signed so well and Madge was the problem.

The reality is we have one of the worst spines in the comp. Our fullback played one cracker last season but hasn't been great. Brooks is maligned because he is an average player. Doueihi is a forger at this point in his career. He looks great in a couple of games for part of those games but overall he is ordinary. We've actually improved the team this season as well.
Can't argue with that, and the coaching has yet to be rated. FB is still up in the air with Laurie, Stains and eventually Bula. I still think Stains could do well, but many don't. The fact they chased Moses so hard shows they doubt the halves can do the job. Good ones are as rare as undoctered skin in hollywood. With all that i think with the better forwards and Api around the ruck they will go much better. Still need at least 5 new class players for 1 to 7 .

Don’t be shocked if Wakeman goes ok this game , if our forwards can match the raiders which I think we can this could give wakeman and Simpkins a bit of time and space , I think he will go ok , just a feeling I got , I would not right any player off just yet as poor , give them a few games
I’m hopeful he improves with trading and game time but he’s going to have to improve a lot to be an acceptable back up.
