Agree with you here. I can only think that Sheens thought “it was the spoon we had to have”

Madge built and prepared that team and they were dreadful before he got the boot. He was a terrible coach for the Tigers. 4 years of dross getting worse each year. Sheens played a role last season but it wasn't a major one

So will a few other clubs though... if Welsby is plan B then we would want to move quickly before Moses stalls longer before saying "No" to us.

Lock Welsby in while he is over here and just get him to stay on as an illegal.

Would be much easier than getting a visa like Bateman has been trying to do.

Part of the problem could be that Immigration are not sure whether he is John or Jason.

Always good to step into a key new role when things at a very low ebb, even small improvements stand out.
We’ll improve this year, how much is very debatable based on a whole myriad of factors.
As I always say, only time will tell.

If Brooks was to re-sign we'd invite him in with Moses to sign in person on the same day. That was it can all be managed, anyone pulls out and the meeting gets postponed.

I’m no Madge fanatic, but had Sheens not interfered as he did last year, I doubt we come last and that is the point being made.

The way I see it Brooks with the new coaches and forward pack is going to turn into the great half we always hoped he would be or he won't. If he does we don't need ( or afford )
Moses . If Brooks is same old same old we should end his tenure mid season .
We offer Moses $1.3 mill pa for 5 years and Douehi has only been offered a ONEyear extension beyond this year ? Not sure this creates a happy camp
Of all the players still not signed for 2024 I would like Herbie Farnworth we need at least one class center

Nofa,going hurt no-one. Lucy was not happy after his brother got the axe, and wanted more dollar. Mikaele has been replaced by better. Hastings was a good footballer , but too slow for a half, i doubt he will be a half in any side next year. These players were moved on to create space for future quality players,which will happen.

Demps, the only people who really knows the full story is the club, and they are tight lipped. I think we kept players that i would have let go, just like many on here. As for the spoon, most clubs have had it, get over it , we deserved it. Yeah it's all business, and about time!

You're missing the point. If we had them, I doubt we get the spoon.

I'm not sure how anyone can say Sheens is not responsible for this given post Maguire we were 1 from 12 including a record score being put on us.

Doueihi and Brooks have contracts , and are here for the year. No doubt AD would be looking for a new home, the one year offer would not make him happy. I expect both to show improvement with the better pack, and Api leading the way. A happy camp ? Good teams drop players all the time, that's been our problem, for years.
The problem is who can we get to replace them. I like Herbie.
