After watching Jock play for the Broncos it was a good decision to let him go. Even with a fresh start he's still too timid. He plays like he doesn't really believe he belongs. Wakeham showed that he's a better option as a backup. He has mistakes in him but he plays with confidence and fits Sheens' style.
Robbie has improved Simpkin 100% in attack, but Will Smith showed he's a viable option as Api's backup as well.
The Benji era is looking good.

How good we won! How good Canterbury lost!
I think Robbie and api have helped Simpkin , and what difference we seen today very little one out running and plenty of ball playing

He's going to be a very good hooker for us under the tutelage of Robbie and Api. We're fortunate to have a hooker so young and yet so experienced. Much of that experience has come at a hard time for WTs so even more invaluable.

His game this week and last week were lightyears apart. This is the first time I have seen him consistently give good service and make the right decisions at the base of the ruck. He has always had potential - if his consistency improves he will be a real asset for us.

over the next few years Simpkin and Da Silva will be very good number 9's for us
It’s a trial but the kid has a heap of talent and I’m glad we have kept him. Let’s see how he improves over the course of the season.
Great post, and Simpkins showed he will be a very good player for us, now , and even better with Api's influence in the future.

When you defend well you give opportunity for your play makers to play footy. Anyone who thinks they will able to play attacking footy successfully in the competition proper without an effort/committment in defence is dreaming imo. Any improvement we make this year will be on the back of a better attitude in defence.

Yeh that was my initial thought, he looked promising yesterday and I thinks a better option then Wakeham if I’m being honest. I like ken but he’s probably better of being retired unfortunately

According to Slothfield , who 2 weeks ago said that MM would extend with Parra by the end of the week …
