What about throwing the kitchen sink at ManuBrooksy is going to run riot on that
left edge. Our halves are going to be
feasting with Api's service and our
forwards camping in the opposition's
end of the field. I'm not worried about
Moses. They're not going to be at all
competitive as seasons gone by ...
RTS has to be our fullback target
moving forward, he won't make the
AB's squad. Start making phone calls
Not much extreme pressure when you’re on 4 competition points after round 16. Let’s judge them in a better team.
I didn’t even know the chef at the COE was ordinary. What about throwing the kitchen sink at Manu

You realise we only really got on top once they took off their starters and we kept ours on. Context is huge. The first 20 mins we were pretty awful generally speaking, a better side would have put 20 on us. Our goal line defence was improved, but they didn't throw a lot at us eitherBro I saw them make 40/50 & 60
maybe once or twice. Also so that
we ran for 600 more meters than
them and had 150 meters more
post contact too. We forced errors
as well which was nice, despite every1
suggesting that they just had an
off night. We were better than them
in all departments. No question.
I just think we need to let this year play out. They may still play poorly and then we know they are duds. But halves is the worst position/s to play in a beaten side.I thought i was being supportive of them.
A one year extension to provide us with security in case he plays well is acceptable. Anything longer which is guaranteed is an insult to members
I'd say he knew he was no longer the player he was and sought out union because it would extend his career and give him financial security. But when he wasn't being picked (just the NOTION that RTS can't get a game for a pretty mediocre All Blacks outfit would be insane five years ago) his enthusiasm waned. To spend $1.4 million on RTS would be the height of financial mismanagement
I was TOTALLY against both of those guys going to the dumpster fire that is Newcastle. Pryce is very similar to his father, Leon, who was an outstanding athlete and high achiever in the SL. I'd say the son is possibly quicker and more explosive - but I'm not sure the game intelligence and intangibles are there - yet. Pearce-Paul is an absolute monster of a kid with freakish physical gifts. But he hasn't got his man body yet and consequently he's still finding his feet in the Wigan first team. It's not that I have a problem with talent going to the NRL at a very young age per se. But it has to be with a well-run team with a strong culture. The Knights are all kinds of bad for these two. For me the problems which Nathan Brown talked about just before he was canned (which Ponga and company - who really are calling the shots - derided him for in public) are as valid today as they've ever been. My fear is both of these kids' careers will be damaged. Would much prefer they'd gone to the Roosters or maybe the Storm.Helped recruit his mates Kai
Pearce-Paul and Will Pryce
from England. Now decided
he wants to move to eastern
suburbs of Sydney haha. Poor
fellas, won't have the same
coach either by the end of this
year, man I would be so filthy
Api will look after that. The biggest problem with our halves isn't their footballing ability, it's decision making and execution under extreme pressure. Moses would not have fixed that, he would have only improved it slightly. Is that worth 1.3m? Not in my opinion.
Brooks and Doueihi will do well in general, and at times be fantastic. I do fear those high pressure moments though. But how many halves out there nail those moments? Not many.
Those two are playing for longterm contracts this yearNot entirely surprised.
What I am surprised about, is that plan B is to persist with Brooks/AD.
That ain't no plan, that's settling.
A two year extension will mean 3 years remaining on Brooks' contract which is consistent with Sheens extending out his contract at a lower rate. Three years is a fairly lengthy contract. Those two are playing for longterm contracts this year

Yeah, players say a lot of things. And by any comparable metric the All Blacks are a mediocre team. They just got rolled at home - by IRELAND. And it wasn't a lucky win. They were completely outclassed. Throw in a ton of other mediocre performances recently and yes - this All Blacks team isn't fit to lace the boots of previous generations. And I'm not the person who said THIS ->>>>> "RTS must be the clubs next target. Worth every cent of $1.4m and is exactly the type of player the club needs"What are you talking about? He has
always stated, even at the height of
his career that he wanted to test
himself in union and be an all black.
Mediocre all blacks? Haha that will do
me. They've had some issues with their
coach but they're still elite, and centre
is a position they're stacked in fyi.
Nobody suggested spending $1.4
on him either, you shot 3 blanks bro
The bottom line is, Moses signing or not signing makes no difference to our season this year. So we have plenty of time for the brain trust to come up with a plan for 2024 and beyond.
One thing for certain we need a class back in the spine who is not on the wrong side of the hill, if we are going to seriously climb the ladder.
I would even consider giving Laurie a shot at 7 if Brooks goes belly up again. That way you can have Staines at one or the young kid with all the wraps
He's already had two face fractures a Kitchen sick might finish him off. What about throwing the kitchen sink at Manu
