that we're on though. Besides, can't
get any lower than the one we were
on last year. I understand punters aren't
as confident as me - only time will tell
what progress we're really making.
If we don't show any upward trajectory

Because I’m betting I’ve followed Wests Tigers exactly as long as you have - and I remember us usually being broke and shit for most of that time…
well and truly before Pascoe.

In the early years we had a poor culture with players on drugs and blowing all the cash the NRL gave us on the wrong players. Poor leadership. Then Sheens came in and recruited really well and from 2004-2012 we were a glamour side in the Comp. Maybe we were broke and didn’t win as much as we should of but we played good footy and that fixes most problems. After 2012 there was a 3 year period where we struggled but we had hope as there was youth coming through (those players went to great heights after they left under Pascoe’s reign), before Pascoe came in and the whole joint nose dived to the point of oblivion. There you have it. Wests Tigers history. 😂

We weren’t even a glamour club - that could recruit well after winning the comp.

You don’t recall Gus calling all our games enthusiastically on channel 9 ? Being known as the NRL’s entertainers? In contention every year until Benji would get hurt? Those were our glory days mate.

I do remember the good days - but also remember plenty of thumpings… and not making the finals most of the time despite having a couple marquee - generational players

On the field, we were over reliant on Benji, who was hurt a bit and inconsistent. At least we had him (in his prime) though. Beats having no top liners like we have under Pascoe.

Yep Tony - I posted the same 7 hours ago - this Cavanagh has no cred at all. Was only elected cos no one else put their hand up. There has not been a posting of any official WSDRLFC notices since April 2021. The Maggies Footy Club is a disgrace in terms of Governance. If he really is the current Chair then it hasn't been publically noted. The last and only Official post was in April confirming that RIck Wayde was Chair. What an absolute joke of a Club are The once Great Wests Magpies Footy Club which that lowlife seems to be drip-feeding from the glory days! Pathetic.
