I was OK with his drop because he contested it, his 1 out running was also OK. He isn't adding anything to the spine though, and I think that's why I agree we need to try something else.

Obviously talus was still upset with what happened and didn’t have time for Hastings…. Completely fair I think after he put him out for the game without repercussion

Only positive for this game is Sheens replaced Laurie at FB with Staines, I'm hoping he's finally on to the poser and that's the start of cutting the deadwood. He runs, but he contributes no try assists and no try saves, I reckon he's half blind the way he organises our defence deadset the worst fullback in the comp.

brooks wasn't good as a 7. He was decent as a player on the field. Had some good runs, but his role is to steer the players around the park and organise and have composure which he failed at..... which he has always failed at.
 
Im going to tell you wonderful forum mates where the problem lies in this team and most arent going to like it...
Brooks is our halfback,he has been backed by coach after coach,the club want him as a one club player...thats all well and good so lets give him the chance this year to produce...theres only one problem and here we go..AD is an overated player who demands big money in his next deal,wants to dictate where he plays and thats at 5/8...problem is he cant deliver at this level and should go back to his mates at souths..he is who is holding Brooks back this year.he is trying to win every game on his own as if he is the mesiha ...and he aint...soon as Sheens puts him in his place the better this team will go...but alas.no backbone in admin or coaching ...

Agree. Potentially rep centre or barely first grade half. Silly boy. Silly us for not sitting him down and telling him the truth.
 
I ve heard Sheens throw shade on Maguire - about the style of play, and the players not playing with fear, and how happy they are and so on, but some of the performances of teams since Sheens took over are up there with the worst I can remember in a long time - today's up there.
