Said about Laurie but you wont say it about Luke becuase you feel he has been hardly done by. Fans have every right to feel the same about Luke. Leave them be
 
Brooks at least had a crack but simply didnt have enough skill or pace to get the job done.

Great points.

Expectation seems to be the real issue here. People have drank the cool aide and are disappointed its just cordial.

So we should excpect another 10 year plan with sheens?

We got the spoon in 2022.

I think the expectation to be better than last year is realistic, especially with the recruitment over the offseason.

Just to draw attention to some obvious blunders already, Sheens started Api from the bench in game 1 and didnt play a fresh bateman in game 2.

4 points gone already.

Those issues are early days and barely stack up to Taylor's, Cleary's and Maguire's stuff ups.

Expectations are the issue
 
Something has to give .the combination of api ,brooks,douehi and Laurie was dysfunctional yesterday. Some of the plays didn't click at all . I put it down to the coaching
 
You could see last week a lot of the set plays went to Dom Youngs side which I think was a mistake, they also didn't change the tactic until 20 to go after not really troubling them all game.

Seems to also have brooks playing left and AD right edges rarely switching sides which I'm also not a fan of.
 
We can’t keep blaming and sacking coaches. Sheens may not be the answer and he may be the answer but he’s not the problem. We have had this problem for years even when sheens wasn’t here. I think we have all said it, the club needs a clean out from top to bottom if we really want to improve.

You keep making this stuff up in your head.

Let's be really clear. Brooks was good on the weekend. He was our best. That doesn't matter though because he needs to have that as his worst game week in and week out. He was poor the previous week and in my opinion unacceptably poor.

We need players (not specific players like I personally like or dislike) that are consistently good.

Is is a realistic expectation especially with Sheens talk but it's only 2 games in and we have a lot of issues. It's not getting fixed quickly.
 
The game has passed Sheens by. His tactics don’t work in the modern game.

His main strength is his ability to manage the media and talk things up but it’s misguided.

This is why I stated last year that sacking Madge and moving Hastings on won't solve the ingrained problems we have had for years..It goes further back then when Madge was even a thought..Cleary had us on the bus and motivated for success ,then left us,prior to that Potter couldn't coach and not resigned ,prior to that we had the Taylor debacle,prior to that the Sheen's sacking and now it appears we have gone full circle and we still can't get a team to play good consistent NRL level football let alone make the finals in over 10 years..Paws kept attacking me for sticking up for Madge,he did what he had to do to try and get the team firing but when the players are below NRL level it makes him look bad and yes he was sacked..Sheen's has better players and youth to work with but after these first 2 games it appears Sheen's and co can't do better than Madge...I'm not bagging anyone for their opinion of Madge or Sheen's but surely people can see this is more than a favourite coach player thing...It's way deeper than that,the recent board debacle must open some eyes...
