We, the faithful..

I'll never stop supporting them. Was a tigers supporter since 1982 and my dad played lower grades for Wests.

One thing I will say in response to something I keep reading on here though:
Wests Ashfield may be a strong entity in 2023, but in my whole life before 2000 I only remember the Magpies being an absolutely terrible team. I don't think in their entire history they even won many premierships.

The tigers lost two grand finals in 88 and 89. In 88 Lamb knocked Hanley out and the next year Warren Ryan suffered the quickest onset of total dementia in the history of neuroscience.

I only know the tigers won it in 1969.

My point is people keep saying "two strong foundation clubs...".

I don't think either actually was "strong". I could be wrong - happy to be.

But there is just this family feel I have with the tigers. By which I mean throughout life people you love disappoint and upset you, and lord knows I've done so to people who love me.

Even though they hired Jason Taylor, and have been the most heartbreaking of clubs to support, I love them through thick and thin. And thin. And thin. And thin. And thin. And thin...

I'll never forget 2005; For teams like the storm, roosters, etc, sure they win premierships, but I doubt any of them are as special as 2005 was to us.

Stay strong, continue to support the club.

Sure it's hard, but it's only sport.

No, you are correct. Aside from those few years in the mid-to-late 80s the Tigers were a shitshow.

Magpies not much better.

This is the issue. There has to be some losers in this world and we are it. Everyone wants simple solutions like it's Pascoe or Lee or Brooks but we've been losers for a lot longer than they've been here.

The rorters were also losers year on year and then they started rorting. I want some of that.

We say things when we're mad, but we always come back.

It just sucks how much joy they've taken out of the game for me, I STILL really look forward to the footy on weekends, somehow, but man it used to be so much more exciting.

I'm 50 and had a hip replacement... Reckon I'd get a run...or rather walk? 😉
If you can run you have a bit more going for you than your team mates, walking should keep you at their pace just make sure it’s a slow walk, don’t want you overrunning the ball. I’ve invested in a couple of pieces of merchandise myself recently, I wear it proudly over my straight jacket.

I will say that one thing I had was good hands, so I doubt I'd fit in...

You know what shits me about this JV...we have 2 great foundation clubs with numerous talented businessmen and ex players who all know whats needed to become a competative NRL side, but all they do is bicker amongst themselves instead of getting on with the job of developing the WTs ...thats who we are ...history is just that its in the past...MOVE ON or MOVE OUT if you dont want success...
end of rant///.....
They'd rather continue the ride on the gravy train as opposed to success, no accountability answer to no one/ got it made .... Pure greed

I will say that one thing I had was good hands, so I doubt I'd fit in...
One of the first things taught, to pass both sides, if you could kick both feet you were a genius.

With no Douehi there won't be any right side attack that won't make things any easier.
Brooks attacks left side but most sides train to defend that. On a promising note, left side is where we got the Dogs last time we beat them, seems like a long time ago now.

I'm a Perth boy, so played Aussie rules for many years.
Different game, but practically everyone who played at the level I did could kick and handball both sides.

Probably a reason I was a huge Cronk fan - kicked as well as an afl player. That SOO kick at Suncorp to his left winger is still the best I've seen in league.
