Rumour - Pascoe / Moses

Yep, the Board caused Ice to drop the ball twice in the 1st two games and caused him to cop a week's suspension. The Board and Pascoe caused Doohey to be a huge flop in the first 3 weeks. The Board made Laurie's pathetic bomb-catching efforts. The Board is totally responsible for loose carries. As Iggy Pop once said - I'm Bored - I'm Chairman of The Bored!
But they've made bad decisions that have directly and indirectly led us to this.

Who chose the coaches?
Who set the precedent for the recruitment of players?
Who took an eternity to come to the conclusion that our training facilities, being the worst in the NRL, needed an upgrade?
Who is responsible for overseeing ALL of the systems that should be in place to run a successful rugby league organisation?

It all starts with the Board, and what we see on the field is the end result of the (poor) decisions they make, and have been making for the last decade.

And who's comfortable with a guy who looks like this sitting on there? 🤡

At least if Pascoe does leave, we will get a rest from the "sack the CEO" calls for a while.
Sack the CEO → Sack the Chairman → Sack the Board → Sack the Coach →
Sack the CEO → Sack the Chairman → Sack the Board → Sack the Coach →
Sack the CEO → Sack the Chairman → Sack the Board → Sack the Coach →

Rinse, repeat- it's a 4-5 year cycle

While this is for ones only, Kunty has been reading our forum again

if true - I'll happily take Sam Walker off their hands
Thought the same when he mentioned it on air.

If that’s the case, can someone get the word out to Kenty that the members of Wests Tigers do not have any say in the board structure.

He looked down the camera the other night and said, I think it’s time the members stand up and demand a change of organisation structure at the highest level.
I thought ‘I agree’ but we are powerless.
I’m surprised he actually thinks we have a voice.

In return I’d like him to publicly admit he was wrong and then have a go at the club instead for having such a rediculous set up in that the club paying members don’t have a say!

Kenty I hope your reading!

100% I’ve met Kenty numerous times.

Bloke better get off his high horse tonight, no joke

Hopefully he is reading this as less people are reading his dribble in the Telecrap.

They act like idiots when they mention the Tigers and whilst we deserve some kicks other sides like Parra / Storm who have not started well get off easily.

Winning will change all that and Kunty and Crawley ( who only has a gig because of his brother ) can then suck eggs

CEO is responsible for pretty much everything you just described

Who is our Ben Ikin?

Needs to have strong connections to corporate Sydney.

Able to negotiate stadium consolidation and upgrades.

Gus Gould like pull with player managers.

A strong background in organisational transformation and culture.

Preferably mates with PVL.
Was Sheens, but then he got moved from that role to be Head Coach

We don’t have the power game of Parramatta’s packs of the last 5 years. He makes breaks off quick PTB and a retreating defensive line. It also gives him time to get good kicks away most of the time. A guy like Burton would suit WT better in my opinion.
What u are saying is not relevant, burton is not available, Moses is so that’s relevant

That's not right mate. A board appoints the CEO to run the joint. The board then set the KPIs and strategic direction for the organisation but it's all on the CEO to implement.
Well that's just another way of saying what I said. Anyway pointless sacking Pascoe without sacking the board with him because nothing will change.
Let's face it when you offer a bloke 1.5mil and still get knocked back there is a lot of rotten things in the club

I think it's pretty clear that Pascoe is the issue. How many more coaches do we need to sack and contracts do we need to offload in order for us to realise this over the last 10 years.

The CEO sole responsibility is to make sure we're well run organisation throughout, unfortunately throughout the last decade we're the worst run club in Australian sports..... Pascoe may be a good business minded person but this is the sports industry a CEO in this industry compared to any other industry is completely different - the culture, values and expectations throughout a sporting club is the most important aspect and we have none of either and don't look close

On top of this I don't recall the last time a player with some competition from rival clubs have signed with us, whilst other struggling clubs have been able to do otherwise - to me it questions how our CEO is presenting the club with the amount of rejections we've faced

Latrell took 300-400k less a season to go to Rabbits... Moses looks to be turning down a $1.3-4 million a season offer over 5 years.... Ciraldo had a 5 year deal with big $ on the table (mad tigers fan) with history with multiple Penrith boys we have here and he turned us down.... Addo-Carr was ready to come for a trade with Tommy Talau and we backed ourselves to sign him instead and he turned us down... and I'm sure there's another hundred examples of our incompetence and lack of execution

Something isn't right... personally I think Klemmer has been excellent, Bateman looks the goods, Api has proven himself it's more just chemistry with everyone else is when we'll see him at his best and Papalili has been quiet but not terrible (only been 2 games)

However, we're still losing games?

There's a vibe at the club which just screams unsuccess and failing - we can sign Cleary and Latrell yet nothing will change, until we get rid of the domino at the top is when you'll see everything else down below start to flourish and then and only then will we see a change.

I fail to see how both decisions would be as a result of each other. I think the rumour is BS but if it did happen, the timing would be merely coincidental. E.g. MM contract negotiations finally being agreed to and Pascoe being the fall guy for the poor recent years at the club (which aren't his fault). Id be happier if MM came and the board were given the ass.
One thing is certain at the very least whoever it is in the boardroom that keeps leaking info to the media is having a detrimental effect on the club. At the very least they should be found out and punted for bringing the club into disrepute

It’s well know west life have huge issues with the administration. I don’t want to say they made this up but if they did it would be a great way to get it into the main stream media and try to get the ball rolling

I'm torn on Pasco, behind the scenes in terms of running the joint we have never been in a stronger position, we are one of three clubs actually turning a profit.
On the pitch though we are a mess, I guess at the end of the day no point being a football team who are useless at playing football.
So he hasn't been a total failure, hoping Shane Richardson won two comps at Penrith and South's.
There's also Steve Noyce who won it with us and the Sharks. There are plenty of good candidates if the board open up the position. But if this is true I just see it as a board exercise in shifting blame and attention from them.

Wasn't it Rob from West life that got into it with Lee over the phone then leaked the audio ?
