Brooks is tanking

Nah, in my view Brooks is a running 5/8

He needs a good halfback outside him to control the game, get repeat sets, etc

He adds value but unfortunately I don’t think he adds it to our team due to the fact we don’t have an experienced level-headed halfback

He didn’t lose the game for us on Sunday, a good halfback and we win that all day

I don’t think Wakeham is the answer but I do think he is better than AD in the halves and will help us win games against the weaker clubs

Someone like Adam Reynolds or Chad Towsend would have been great. Moses certainly isn’t the answer

I like the days when Brooks just needed good service from dummy to be unleashed. Then it was a decent forward pack to be unleashed.

Now that the 9 is sorted and the forwards are taking shape, Brooks now needs a full rep team to be unleashed.
Hilarious isnt it lol.

His fans can never just see that he is not an orginising halfback or that has no on field leadership qualities. Does everything else pretty well and thats enough for some people i guess. Each to their own just stop blaming everything around him.

Funny thought. . . .

The thing our halfback Luke Brooks needs to bring out his best could actually be a halfback lmao.

After all these years its not less Robbie Farah, less Benji Marshall, a different coach, a better hooker, a running 5/8, a good quality forward pack, a new club etc etc

Nope its a HALFBACK.

A halfback who is good enough to move him permanently to 5/8 where he has always belonged.

If that doesn't eventuate with Moses - as clearly he is the target- we will still be in the same position next year chasing a half back to accommodate Brooks - who now is considered a 5/8th because the finger pointing reasons for him not excelling at half are exhausted.

We moved on two options last year that did not meet with approval - Hastings and Madden to buy two more second string ones in Wakeham and Smith. And if they extend Brooks do they really think that it is going to attract a quality half to the club if it hasn't already?
What is the obsession with him - it's not like he inspires any confidence in the squad?

Shock rugby league rival makes play for 'under-siege' $1.1m Tigers star Luke Brooks

English club Leeds is considering making a move to sign rugby league's most under-siege player, Tigers halfback Luke Brooks.

Brooks comes off contract at the end of the season and has yet to come to terms with the Tigers for a new deal.

The 28-year-old has struggled in the early rounds - but in fairness to him so have most of his teammates - as the Tigers sit winless at the bottom of the NRL ladder.

There is strong mail coming out of the UK that Leeds may have a look at Brooks for next season.

The Rhinos' halves pairing - Aussies Aiden Sezer and Blake Austin - are both coming off contract and the club may look in a different direction.

While Brooks has found the going tough in the NRL in recent seasons, the more open style of Super League may suit him.

The Tigers are unlikely to stand in his way if he decides on a change of scenery as the move would free up a large slice of their salary cap - money they could throw towards the Eels' Mitchell Moses.

Brooks is earning $1.1 million this year from the Tigers.

Does Leeds need me to start a GoFundMe?

Yer under Cleary who in all the tigers wisdom the board let go. Great call cause Cleary is a terrible coach…. Oh wait. He won the dally m 5 years ago and has never taken his team to the finals and is on a million. I coach at state level, league is my job. If you don’t think the team looses confidence having a million dollar player who can’t even get a repeat set or hit a clean pass you have no business even having this discussion. Look at ash Taylor and the titans, difference being they had the balls to admit they [This word has been automatically removed]ed up and cut him. It’s effecting the entire team the 7 is the general. The cowboys turned the entire 2022 around by getting a great 7 in Townsend and bleeding young players, 4 of them are already playing origin. You don’t know football champion
Townsend great ? That's interesting.
Read through some sharks forums and you will find he was their go to whipping boy just like Brooks is here.
Why did he improve at the Cows? I don't have the answer , just wondering.

He won a comp at the sharks mate. I don’t think the sharks have any idea what it’s like being a wests supporter. The cows had the young pack just like the broncos all both teams needed was a smart controlling 7. Tigers finally got a good pack we are third in run meters and 2nd in sets inside op 20. It’s our halves that can’t finish. Brooks should take the offer to go the UK

Please be true, I don't see any other NRL team rushing for his signature.

What fools Penrith are for paying Cleary a million a year when all halves need to do is just pass the ball to the backs...

We're probably paying Brooks more than Cleary ... that might be the saddest thing of all.

Brooks wasn’t the problem, AD was poor and the two together just doesn’t work
7 Wakeham & 6 Brooks
Put AD in the centres with a backrower who can do his tackling
Nofo should make way for mine
It is really Frustrating that AD doesn't want to live in the Centres.

Honestly that is where he belongs. He passes less, could really fit a more ball playing Centre mould. His defence would have to get better, but that applies to the entire team.

Wakeham to 7. Brooks and AD enter Thunderdome!
"two men enter, one man leaves!!"

They have 2x trophies, but I get it Luai is vastly underrated.

It seems that with such a strong Forward pack, Cleary has the room to set up the plays, with so many backs Cleary can just pass and likely see a try scored.
Yet, Cleary picks the right moments and gets the tries scored.

I suspect Penrith will be hurting without Api, Kikau and others... I think Api's deliveries are awesome. Luai though, man he is a beast.
