Sheens was a bad appointment, Madge had to go for sure, but after missing Ciraldo, they should've signed Flanagan or someone who has been in the NRL in recent years, Sheens was a hail mary that looks like backfiring big time

The coronary would have only lasted a few games , We win all 4 under Flanno I feel , and then the love turns up , the real problem now is if they sacked sheens and Benji no one will come hear , so we are stuck , the 9nly change can be Sheens drops off and Benji steps up now , he could then add to the staff if required , Sheens to do his job and stay well out of the football team and training , Sheens I think if we go 0/6 or 0/8 would have to move out of the way , Give Benji the rest of this season to sort out and fix what needs doing , 1,6,7

Yeh, I agree with most of what you’ve written Tigerland but not Brooks. It’s best for him and the club if he leaves immediately.

I agree with you but the only appealing options are those ESL players. We have dud players trying to fill key roles and that is an issue but we need to replace them with good players at worst.
I said Bateman was a high risk signing but look how good he has been.

I'm okay with it but Brooks has to be on minimal dollars to enable us to sign 2 good players. If he isn't okay with that then see you.

We simply have to sign a halfback with Our remaining top 30 spot. Dump Brooks to NSW Cup and see if he can re-find some confidence. He's been a shot duck for seasons nothing has changed.
Sign a halfback they can kick. That's all we need to focus on. Anyone 18 and over that can kick. It's embarrassing that our NRL halves are so shit but even moreso that we literally have no one busting a gut to get a shot and work their way through the grades.

Brooks position in the team seems to have always been about the Salary Cap cost and never about the talent required of a half.
We've had ample opportunity to move him on, but the club refused to "lose money" in any proposed deal.
Business is always the bottom line.
But now the rot is untenable.
Come on Coach Sheens - continue the draining of our swamp - and the "cost" will pay dividends.

Just pay the transfer fee and get Williams, try and throw in Brooks as part of any deal and then go and get Welsby. We can't carry on with Brooks i get we clung onto him in hope of Moses thats not happening so we need to pivot.Teams can cope with one mediocre half but not both and no real FB, 3 of the 4 spine players are rubbish.
And do it yesterday.

If we are moving on from Brooks, I think it's VERY important we don't simply replace him for another 'running halfback'.
The team needs direction. I think whoever takes on the role needs to offer that, or we are just going in circles.
Mitchell Pearce is definately a short term option. Cezar is similar as is Josh Drinkwater who has really developed in the UK. But they are all 30+

Tom Dearden perhaps?
Ideally- the Roosters will need to shave their cap somewhere next season. Manu should/could move to 5/8. Luke Keary would be ideal....
Taafe would be the other name I'd look at.
You could realistically put any of them next to Douiehi, who i think is redeemable. That leaves fullback. RTS obviously would be amazing. Will Kennedy wouldn't hurt either. But there has to be a progression for Bula, so RTS for 2 years might be the best move.

As things stand Normally we would be stuffed. We would have no hope of signing a decent half because noone would be willing to sacrifice 3 - 4 years of a 10 - 12 year career before experiencing any success. Atm we desperatly need a decent half. Noone special just someone who can finish a set of 6. The positive is we have the squad, a half decent half wouldn't need to wait for success as its pretty much all were missing to win games.
We need a fullback as well but I reckon we can jag wins as long as we have a half that knows how to finish a set.
I'd be on the hooter with Leeds, offering an early release for Brooks for how ever much Williams team want for a transfer fee. Williams may not be the answer but we need a half bad. Until we get one who can lead the team around, bark orders, keep a cool head and just be consistent by doing the 1 percenters we are going nowhere fast. The other problem is morale, I ask myself if I'm in the pack killing myself so Brooks can keep butchering things how long before I either tell him to wake up, tell the coach to get stuffed or think bugger it ill just turn up for my pay cheque.

I can't see Brooks being trade bait especially in relation to going to England. He may have too though because no club will offer him a contract at this point.
