Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

What good does it do for us to make the Sharks pay more? The rationale is hard to understand? No players of his calibre will come to us - it's just not going to happen for light years.
So we just give up , even if we make them pay $200,000 more in the long run it will help . But we just can’t stick our heads in the sand and do nothing

Uncle Nik immediately fires up the grill.

Nik texts: Hey Jack it’s me mate, come over for dinner and I’ll tell you how we’re rigging the competition to win a few premierships over the next few years and how you can be a part of the “famed tri-colours”

Jack: sounds good mate but you can’t afford me.

Nik: Under the salary cap, no you’re right we can't. Under the Sombrero though you bet we can. I’ll tell you more over a steak. See you at 6.

think 2024 Sheens will re-sign Brooks around the bye week (it is pretty close to being done, further 2 years)

Go after Wighton

2024 spine
1. Douihie
6. Wighton
7. Brooks
9. Api

If they even attempt to re-sign Brooks the entire COE may literally get burnt to the ground.

Realistically, he should never play first grade again for us. 10 years of failure and excuses. He's barely NSW Cup level until he proves differently. Drop him, hope he find some mojo, but until then keep him a million miles from first grade.

There's not a single player in our top 30 that the club should be looking to extend currently.

Thank god, (Tim), we extended Douhie when we didn’t need to.
Now a better version of AD is available and we stuck with him for another year.
Having Doeuihi contracted gives us a bargaining chip with other clubs for potential swap deals (as long as player is happy to move as well which I'm sure AD would in most scenarios).
